Nobody knows??? Wow, I must be the only one trying to get a european phone to work here in the states, with cingular.

I know that if I buy a european cell phone, it will work in the US, on cingular, but will I be able to text message? I heard I need to upload cingulars software into the phone. Is that true?

Any chance you can make this for the smt5600 (c500), non-orange edition?

I have a audiovox smt 5600, that is locked with cingular. I would like to use a different provider for it. How do I go about having my phone unlocked?

So theres no way to lock certain folders in your phone? Can I at least prevent people from accessing my storage card or something?

C'mon guys, I'm sure I'm not the only one who has ever wondered about this.

A few days ago, I left my keys in the car, which really sucked. But it got me thinking,

is it possible to use the infrared on my audiovox smt5600 (we don't call it C500 in the US) as a seperate remote to open my door? I know that the signal on the phone isn't that strong, but it doesn't have to be when your right next to the car right? I just think it would be a cool backup, just in case, so you don't have to deal with all the stress.

And if not, could someone make something like that .

The contacts and everything in my storage card remained intact, with no hassle. It didn't require for me to do anything, which was kinda neat.

I want to hard reset my phone, but am afraid to lose all my contacts. My question is,
I have a cingular(american) account which uses sim cards. Does anybody know if my contacts will be saved on the sim card?

I uninstalled it through settings, and now I can't play them with media player no more. Is there a way to reinstall media player? How do I associated with media player through smart explorer? This is really making me upset. I have so many songs on my phone. :cry:

I installed pocket music on my smt 5600, and decided to delete it. Now my windows media player won't play mp3's. It says it doesent regonize the format or its corrupted. What should I do?

Hi all.

I'm a total newbie to smartphones, but I love mine. I've searched this forum to find something that will allow me to send files via bluetooth, and I came up with smart explorer 2.0.2. It installed fine, but it still does not give me the option to send via bluetooth, when I for example, try to send a song from my storage card.

I have a audiovox smt5600 (it's not called c500 in the US). Could it possibly be because the software is not meant for my phone? If so, do you guys know of any software that I would be able to use?

I can't even get the smart monitor portion to work. I have a audiovox smt 5600. What should I do? I installed the plugins, but the part where it's suppose to show the battery and etc, is just blank.

I don't even have a home folder in my "My Documents." I'm running wm2003 on my audiovox smt 5600. Am I doing something wrong?
