I have had the same problem with my phone. I just could not get it to connect on my desktop so I tried the laptop and it seems to work. If nothing else works try another computer - its the only thing that sorted my problem out.

Yeah but what about all of us wanting the E200 via an upgrade? No free offers there. They'll give them away to strangers but when it comes to loyal customers, I'm afraid we'll have to pay. sad.gif

I am in the same situation. My contract expires December 18th and I really don't want to pay Orange another couple of hundred pounds for a phone again. My SPV is fine but I really want to upgrade to take advantage of the BT and built in Camera. They are both features I use a lot. I have been with Orange since 1999 and spend about £70 a month. I have upgraded my phone every year and paid the full amounts. Not this time. I'm prepared to go to another network if Orange aren't helpful this time round. Now I just need to figure out if its worth getting the E200 or P900 and who's going give me the best deal.

Exactly! Polyphonic ringtones........who needs them. This tone has people interested and chuckling every time my phone starts ringing.

Brilliant Simon! Thats the one. biggrin.gif

Martin - I found that site as well. It's pretty cool but nothing beats the old UKringin tone. Give it a try it works great.

Thanks a lot!

I had a great ringtone that sounded like an old 'RING RING' telephone. My phone has been formated for me and I lost it! Doeas anyone know where I could get it from again? sounds like a really old phone and the filename was UKringing.wav

I've done a search everywhere but nothings coming up and I swear I got the link off these forums ages ago when MoDaCo was a baby!

I used the AT&T synthesiser and then went to my internet cache - C:Documents and Settingsyour user nameLocal SettingsTemporary Internet Files and look for the output_#.wav It numbers the files according to each playback so # could be 1 to whatever....
I used the 22k wav uk english audrey generator and managed to secure each file this way.

I rang CPW just before the new year and got them to do a price check for £0. I swapped over from T-Mobile. They haggled about the minimum £100 price check nonsense but I kept nagging so the guy eventually caved in. Tried to sell me some nasty insurance package in a desperate attempt to make some cash out of me - in the end I got the phone free along with prompt free delivery!

I was in Madrid over new year. My SPV was on Movistar network - worked flawlessly. SMS, GPRS, voice mail, email, etc all worked fine.

Sometimes when I navigate directly from the home screen to my inbox, the homepage image remains as a background to my inbox and I cant see my received messages. I click with the action key and it brings up the message and when I delete the message it goes back to the inbox displaying the same homepage image.

Strangely enough I have this problem only when I use the Home Screen Full Layout Setting. If I use the Orange 1 or 2 layouts the SMS indicator says SMS (0). In full layout it says SMS (1)

My phone has been kicking up the same error message for 4 days now......I guess I'll just have to wait for it to sort itself out or until I can get around to a reset. I just can't face the task of inputing all the connection settings and passwords all over again.....boring! Or messing around with Orange either...

Hello there.

I have used MS Outlook for all my contacts as a central database on my PC and now that I have my new SPV synchronising is going to be a blast! However all my contacts have been carefull entered into Outlook in the format they subscribe - international code, area code and number. giving the number format in Outlook as: +00 (000) 0000 0000. However now that I have done the synch it faithfully transfers the numbers that can't dial on the phone. Can this be? Microsoft Outlook to Microsoft Phone? Compatible? Do I have to fiddle every singe number to get it to work? Surely not? Any help? Have I missed something?
