You'll be pleased to know that this is a problem with IE rather than Firefox or Google Chrome (looks a mess in that too). MS don't believe that International standards apply to them and so what you think is solid HTML code appears not to be. Suggest you use tables to achieve the look you want. |

I've just had a look at the files and directory structures for the various languages. It appears the languages like Russian, Chinese, Japanese Arabic etc that have graphical characters in them have special CTX files defining those characters that Supezero doesn't have access to at the moment so those languages might have to wait a short while (2157 if the 2057 estimate is anything to go by) |

Whay hey MHHD give Supezero a break. This is the first tester's release and getting a mobile to do just the basics is a fantastic breakthrough, especially considering this is not his normal job. Hopefully the initial part will excite Rosetta Stone so much they pay him unbelievable amounts of money for the work he has done already and to develop the product fully to what you want it to do. He does make it clear the "conversion" is the MP3 files to WAV files only. |

WOW! I have an MDA Compact II and the increase in speed is remarkable in several applications. pRSSreader now updates all channels in half the time and I no longer fear going through to the Full story which can sometimes lose you the will to live as you wait for the story to come up. Obviously Opera loads pages faster. I use Avantgo to read The Times and for some reason not all the pages download so it goes off to the web to load them. This now happens far quicker. Many thanks for sharing this, Paul. |

Well not actually completely free but part of your contract minutes allowance which if you don't normally use it all up makes them effectively "free". Most of the major UK networks will allow this service to be used though apparently some do block it. T-Mobile is on board How it works is you call a UK mobile number and then dial your full International number to make the connection. You get billed the normal mobile to mobile rate (or landline to mobile) of your service provider. Check out http://www.yourcallworld.com for more details. Nice to see T-mobile jumping at a marketing opportunity rather than closing it as a threat. |

This link http://www.int.iol.co.za/index.php?set_id=...48474751300M262 reports a Reuters story with this start "Microsoft adds traffic reports to online maps Seattle - Microsoft Corporation launched on Tuesday a new version of its Windows Live Local online mapping service with real-time traffic reports and features to make it easier to share maps and information. The company also plans to expand its mapping service with the release of a test version in the United Kingdom and a limited offering in Canada. It pledged to add new markets in the coming months." Now that would make it one MS product I might be happy using. |

SmartGPSPro from Maxrom with a bluetooth GPS will read the camera database as a POI file and beep politely at you when approaching a camera. You can change the sound to something less polite. Total solution cost me about £65. I used the "smallest gps" from eBay which is about the size of a box of matches and works well. When assigning a com port to the GPS receiver make it incoming and uncheck the secure connection (advice from Maxrom) Then of course there is CamerAware from Paul. CamerAware.netl |

QUOTE(dalecon @ Oct 24 2005, 08:58) One more thing - how do i know if my phone is registered? I bought it direct from Orange will that make my phone automatically registered or do i have to register it? No it is not automatically registered. Running the ActionRegister.ARM.cab file will insert Orange Register as a program on your phone and that will tell you if your phone is registered or not. |

Hi I have an SPV C500 and overnight it got a symbol on it that looks like a PDA with a squiggly line on either side of it. I haven't done anything to the phone which is why it is bothering me. Can anyone enlighten me? Cheers George |

QUOTE(Paul [MVP] @ Oct 12 2005, 14:06) So what if I wrote a program that SMS'd (or dialled) your signup each day at say, 00:30? That'd be kinda cool, and pretty easy. P Why write one when there is already one out there for free. RJV SMS Scheduler SP2003 can be found on Airfagev's site at http://www.airfagev.com/downloads.asp?cat=RJV%20Apps&NAV=2 It allows you to schedule up to ten messages at a time - great for "remembering" distant relative's birthdays |
