I tried a lot of things over the last period, but i keeps unchecking "allow usb-connections".
Anyone got a clue?

I was trying again to fix this. (reinstalling activesync doe not help). I'm looking for a tool to monitor/log/block changes on a specific registrykey/value. I tried sysinternals regmon but it monitors ALL activity an i cannot findout what process resets the setting (and i cannot monitor buring (re)login of (re)boot.

I had some other problems with the phone so i did a reset to factory defaults (which was the suggestion by Orange for this problem as well). It did not solve the problem.
Currently i'm running ROM-version 1.14.63.4 NLD (date 6/11/07) on Operatorversion 23.114.3.634.
If anybody knows how i can update the firmware for an Orange-phone (if there is one), may it would help.

Has been a while. I contacted Orange (NLD) after a reset to factory defaults (no solution) and they picked up the phone. After 2 days i got it back with the note "Fixed"... NOT!
Contact again, they say they cannot solve it ("our delivery terms say we are not responsible for software-errors", which i could not find in their terms).
So, i contacted HTC. The guy i spoke told me he heard this problem once before, with an orange-branded phone, and he was willing to contact the developing department (who has the HTC firmware AND the orange firmware) to see if they can find the error in the orange-version of the firmware.

If anybody knows of this problem, please let me know.

P.S. what does the english phone say? "Delay reminder 5 minutes" OR "pospone reminder 5 minutes" ???

You might just need to change the displayed name for the headsets.
Try renaming the currently paired one to "BT3010 Tosty_82" (you might have to re-pair it to be able to change the name)

I can change the name in the phone and connecting afterwards with my own headset gives no problem then. Would there be a difference when i rename while connected?

If i start searching from the carkit it finds the phone and gives a pin. But the phone does not pop-up 'a device wants to connect' so if i do nothing on the phone the adding-process on the phone isn't started, thus i can never enter the PIN.
If i start from the phone (doing nothing on the carkit) i'm asked for a PIN, which i do not know because it did not generate one (it only generates a PIN after i select a phone on the carkit).
I tried to start the 'phone-search' AFTER i received the PIN from the carkit, but i can start it on different moments as well, i'm just not sure when.
My phone is set to discoverable (no passkey needed on my phone, because i cannot enter a code on the carkit).
For extra ensurance i also actived settings > connections > outgoing signals > accept incoming signals (weird, i have an menu called accept OUTgoing, and in there the only option is accept INcoming).

Hey,

Currently i'm using a HTC Touch (Branded as a Orange p3450, not unlocked).
I'm using a Jabra BT3010 headset.
My partner has the same headset.
Somehow i cannot connect to her headset because mine is already in the list?
Any clue how i can fix this?

*Edit: corrected BT160 to BT3010

Hey all,

Currently i'm using a HTC Touch (Branded as a Orange p3450, not unlocked).
I got a leased car with a build-in Bluetooth carkit called Audio Blue by Funkwerk Dabendorf (FWD).
However i'm unable to connect the phone with the carkit. I know it's not in the Compatibility list but i'm not sure why not (still waiting for reply by Funkwerk).
This is what i should do and what goes wrong:
* Bluetooth on the phone is on, can be found by other devices, no passkey needed for bluetooth, and i set 'accept incoming/outgoing signals' in the settings-menu on.
* I let the Audio Blue search for the phone, it finds one (gives me a mac-adress, so if you know a way i can check my bluetooth mac-adress on the phone would be great) and i make it connect.
* The Audio blue gives me a passkey (random generated).
* I let the phone search for the carkit, select it and give the passkey.
* As soon as i press 'next' the carkit cancels the whole connecting process.

Anybody some interesting ideas?

Try the Krussell-items.
I use the Orbit case 75324 in Black/Beige (with Multidapt, their universal connector-system).
I mount it in the car on their Windscreen Holder (not listed when you search for the device, you find it in the black-label section).
Links: Windscreen-holder & Case.

Good luck

Edit2: i send the question to PocketMax (PhoneAlarm) as well, maybe they know..

I did some tests, the option after 5 minutes works as 10 minutes (only shows 15 minutes)...

So what i need now is a way to fix to OEM (or OEM translation) because i think the error is to be found there.. Any hints?

P.S. i think it's time to adjust the thread-title a bit.

I can not beleive that anybody jump on that one yet, it is not believeble that you can only choose 1h or 1d, that as to be the biggest flaw in WM5, and not resolved i n WM6...

There as to be something that can be done, not a new program because I like to synch the tasks with Outlook?

THanks,

You can try PhoneAlarm.
I'm currently busy with an error in my ROM, so you can track this topic

I found another forum-post here.

Good luck

Did some searching (again) in the Registry on the term 'reminder', and found the value DEFAULT in the key hklm\software\microsoft\calendar\reminder.
I'm not sure, could this be the place to look for?
The currect value for DEFAULT @ my phone is:
0F 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 01 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 04 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 D0 04 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00
Maybe somebody can check his phone (HTC Touch = Mobile 6) to check for differences?

Edit: according to pdaphonehome this is the right key...
Edit2: i send the question to PocketMax (PhoneAlarm) as well, maybe they know..

Maybe if somebody else has this problem, i did some research.
I found the value ConnectTypesAllowed in these keys:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows CE Services
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows CE Services
.

At a Citrix-support-site i found an explaination of the possible settings.

Currently i'm testing with Sysinternals - Regmon to check what/when this value resets the setting to OFF (0).

Note: The official English setting is "Allow USB connection with this desktop computer" and the dutch text "USB-verbindingen toestaan".

I hope this is the tight topic, couldn't find any other place specificly suitable.

I'm using ActiveSync 4.5 @ home and @ work.
My work-pc does remember to "allow usb-connections" (in dutch: USB-verbindingen toestaan), my home-computer turns of the options every time te program is started.
I search microsoft, but i cannot find an answer.
Anyone has a clue how to make ActiveSync remember to allow USB-connections.

See screenshot, what option i'm referring to.

I managed to create a screenshot of the problem.
Here you can see i have the option '15 minuten' (15 minutes) twice...

I hope anyone has an idea, because Orange and HTC never heard of it..

Why not BT on?? I work in a hospital and some parts do only allow phone activity, and some parts nothing @ all (flightmode is perfect then)...

I have a rather starnge question.

I have a HTC Touch phone and in the car i use a Jabra Bluetooth headset.
Because my phone is in it's cover most of the time i start getting annoyed by the steps i have to take to activate/deactive bluetooth each time i get in the car (i don't want bluetooth running all the time).

Since you can adress the "camera-button" to different options i wanted to use this button to start/stop my bluetooth (I don't take that much pictures).
The problem is, you can only adress the button to applications, not to functions inside application (in this case: bluetooth-function inside the comm-manager application).

Question: is there somebody who can help me with/build me an application to start/stop bluetooth on the HTC Touch (by Orange).
