Hi there. Once your phone goes into standby mode (the screen turning off), your clock speed will be reset to the default

if you have a txt or any notifications it goes orange and flashes more regularly
if not, it stays green
don't even need to waste battery by looking at the screen

i hope so - i have it in my cradle all day at work.

so far, it's sitting at 100% when i leave work and is still at 100% when i get into work the next day. :-)

aside from the (handy) clock being replaced by the (useless) battery on the today screen, everything else seems great.

Well, I am pleasantly surprised by my battery life so far today.  I installed the ROM update yesterday.  The phone came off the charger at 0800 this morning.  I've made about an hour and ten minutes worth of phone calls, I've had GPS turned on all day, bluetooth paired to my BT headset, sent/received a number of SMS messages, and replied to a number of Outlook emails.

The time now is 1445 and I still have 76% of my battery life remaining.  On my old ROM, my battery would have been at least to 50% by now.  This is a nice upgrade so far.

I have a T-Mobile MDA...I figure if I use this ROM I'll have to manually enter a lot of the T-Mobile Settings.  Which ones should I back up and should I just stick with the current ROM?

try www.expansys.com I know they sell them there, or try the O2 or T-Mobile shops if you don't like buying on the net. Expansys do them for about £7 ish I think.

How odd - did you turn the sound off?

I think that's the fastest for SNES emulation on the wizard. You can try PocketSNES and Morphgear (both free, google), but I've found those slower.

Picodrive (see thread in smartphone games) runs games on the Genesis at near full speed - are there any carting games for that?

Playable on my Qtek 9100, although a bit slow (still responsive). Takes a while to start and on some menus - you can get around this by doing a quick save once you're in.

How is it unplayable for you?

RPG's tend to work better

Try changing your frameskip to 2 or 3 perhaps?

edit 2: yep, just won a race, no problems. Sure, 50cc mushroom cup, but eh.. Frameskip was on auto.

I thought I'd post my experiences with various emulators in this thread with the Wizard (Qtek 9100 to be precise).

If anyone tries any others, just post and I'll edit it into the first post.

So, to start..

SNES

Snes9xj4u: You should download the first ARM link (version b1k).

Setup: unzip, copy to anywhere (I popped the files into my start menu). Run once, then shut down (file -> bottom option). Open up your favourite registry editor (eg PHM RegEdit) and go to local machine\software\ce44u\snes9xj4u. Change Language from 0 to 1. Save and exit, start up Snes9xj4u. Should be in English now.

Speed: Very fast. Even has sound (which sounds kinda crappy).

Compatability: Low. Some games work, some games don't. It usually takes a little while to load a rom initially, so don't despair.

Notes: No landscape support. Plays games in portrait even when keyboard out (can be useful..).

This is resetting it but still not getting past the Qtek boot screen.

It's only a week old and i'm seriously considering shipping it back if i can expect these kind of problems with it.

I know people are trying to call too!
