What I'd like to know is the holy grail of voice dialling. Will it let me use voice command over bluetooth on my universal with the case closed and the device in my pocket. I used the JETware Mobile Extension with my Qtek 9100 and it works great. However, with my new HTC TyTN it does not work so well - it does something to the Bluetooth functionality so that answering calls with a BT headset (including a Parrot car kit) becomes flaky. I uninstalled the JET ware extension and the problem disappeared so I know that was it. /POL |

Greetings, I've had my new TyTN for a week now and I find it works very well except for some issues with the Bluetooth implementation. There are a number of well known problems with A2DP and wireless bluetooth headphones, but one that I haven't seen mentioned has to do with answering incoming calls. Sometimes when I try to pick up an incoming call on my SE HBH-300 headset, clicking the headset's button will answer the call but there will be no sound, neither from the headset or on the phone itself - I can't hear the caller and the caller can't hear me. Using the call in progress menu to disconnect the handsfree will restore the call to the phone, and I can then bring it back to the headset by pressing the headset's button. A soft reset of the phone will usually enable the next incoming call to be answered properly using the headset. This issue does not affect outgoing calls via the headset, they always work out OK. Anyone else who has seen this? Must be a bug. /POL Responding to my own post. Turns out that I may have found the cause of the problem and the explanation why no one else seems to have been experiencing it. I had the JETware Mobile Extension installed to make the TyTN work better with my Parrot car kit. That software does things with the Bluetooth headset communications so I uninstalled it just to check if that could have been the problem - and the problem is gone, at least for now. Will follow up to this post again if the problem reappears. /POL |

Anybody tried to stream audio to Bluetooth headset. It worked perfectly for me on Qtek 8310 using Bluecast, however on Mteor Bluecast doesn't work. Interesting that when I push the button on headset sound is transferred to it for 2-3 seconds. No, the actual streaming works for me (SE HBH-DS970 headset) with good quality, but I miss all incoming calls since there is no ring tone from either the headset or the phone when the "Wireless Stereo" profile is used. /POL |

I have a new MtEOR and I've found an interesting problem with Bluetooth headsets. When I use my Sony Ericsson HBH-DS970, which is a stereo bluetooth headset, to make calls, the call is disconnected after about 30 seconds and the phone drops off the network (display says "No Service"). I have to use the Connection Manager to turn off the phone radio and then on again to get back onto the network. (trying to use Phone settings to find a network totally hangs the phone). This is 100% reproduceable - happens EVERY time. When making calls without the headset, this problem is not present. I doubt this is a problem with my specifik headset - it works fine with my other phone, a Qtek 9100. Anyone else seen this? |

I'm trying to find a combination headphone/headset for my Qtek 9100 that is of better quality than the horrible low-quality one which came with it. I have seen reports of people successfully using Seidio (www.seidio-europe.com) 2-in-1 headsets with the i-Mate K-Jam, but at least one report that says they won't work with the Qtek 9100. This would indicate that the headphone socket/standard is not the same on the i-Mate and Qtek version. Can this really be the case? /P O Litby Stockholm |
