I would like to hook up additional languages to the Dash. On the Tornado-based phones and the StrTrk, it was possible by adding the T9[Language]Ldb.dll to the \Windows folder and making a couple of registry changes. Since Dash uses a different keyboard layout, and xt9 instead of t9, that approach doesn't work. Does anyone know how this could be done? Looks like all registry settings are under \HKLM\Software\Tegic. |

Greetings, Anyone know if it is possible (or if it's necessary) to application unlock the Tmobile DASH? If so, what registry editor works and which registry values need updating? Thank you, S I have done that with the SDA Application Unlock tool - just google it up. Works both on the stock WM5 and test WM6 T-Mobile builds. |

When I asked this question at spv-developers, one of the moderators replied that the SPV Services tool doesn't work with StrTrk yet. Unlocking at imei-check.com was easy and painless. I'm not sorry for the $38 I paid. |

I had the same problem and found that if you can add a voice tag to a program without a problem. Also, it does sometimes work if you add the voice tag to the contact through "Add Speed Dial" menu option (it asks for an optional voice tag also). |

I have an unlocked Cingular 3125. I hooked up the Russian T9 dll and everything works perfectly fine - input, contact search - except for the SMS messages. That is, when I compose a message in Russian, it looks fine, but the message arrives completely unreadable - all text except punctuation comes across as question marks (?). I tried changing LCID's under HKML\nls to 1251 (windows cyrillic) or 866 (DOS Russian unicode) - all in vain. Ideas? |

I finally used the imei-check.co.uk - it costs $38, but unlocks both SIM and CID. |

It's much worse here in the states. The only 2 windows mobile phones t-mobile has ever offered are the mda and the sda. At least in the 3 years I've been a member. But man do they have blackberry covered. They have 6 to choose from right now. Actually, I called T-Mo's CS and asked whether they had anything similar to Cingular 3125 (strtrk) in the pipeline, and the answer was no. So I ended up getting a Cingular 3125 and unlocking it. |

Does anyone know if it is possible to unlock the 3125 with the SPV-Services tool? Or are there other options? |

When I follow your guide, the movie gets recoded into NeroVision (MP4) format, which I can't play with TCMP - it gives me an error message stating that MP4 support has been removed due to IP conflicts or something like that. Am I doing something wrong? |

I took time last night and upgraded my Qtek 8300 to the next major firmware version 2.x ! Where can I get the new ROM? I am in the US and got my phone from expansys - therefore I cannot get onto myqtek.com because of the IMEI number not matching their stock. There's a direct link to the 8310 ROM in another thread; could you post a direct link to the 8300 ROM? I also wonder if someone had a chance to compare the Qtek 2.x ROM to the one iMate released a couple of months ago. |
