QUOTE(pauleden @ Jan 7 2006, 15:56) I've only had this phone a few weeks, and the supplied handsfree kit has packed up, or more accurately, I think it's the phone itself. I bought two of these things (one for my wife) and neither handsfree kit work properly. When in a call, I cannot be heard by the other party. I have tried setting the profle to 'normal' and 'automatic' but with no difference. If I unplug the jack mid call, the phone works normally. I'm beginning to suspect the socket in the bottom of the phone. Am I missing anything obvious, is this a know fault and does anybody have any advice? I've done a hard reset to eliminate non sortware problems. Still no worky. Little help? |

QUOTE(sponge @ Dec 30 2005, 23:18) I do get the audio, which seems ok. I can see the colours in the garbled mess change as I use the joystick to 'navigate' the games menu. This allows me to quit the game, but I can't play it. I had exactly the same problems when I downloaded the trial. Shame, it looked like fun. [edit] I've contacted Astraware about this and shown them this thread. If they reply to my email, I'll update here. |

QUOTE(BORGCYMRU @ Dec 29 2005, 17:25) My C550 from Orange arrived today, so far I am impressed with it. Very nice phone What is the must have software then ? There always is something that's needed that they forget to instal Looking for FREE stuff at the moment as it's still under the trail period so no point spending on it yet. Although I do have a feeling I will be keeping it . Thanks That's an easy one. Stopwatch. There's two avaible. One called Palindrome that looks ugly on my SPV and another called SMAC which has more features than I need. Also, get a good homescreen. W4llys new Homer is a real gem and the author is a top bloke. |

QUOTE(mini_man @ Dec 31 2005, 10:54) go to start, settings, power management and change backlight time out to ten and then change display timeout to 30 seconds and then turn on light sensor enable I have to say I'm not that impressed with the battery life on my C550 as compared to the Nokia 3310i it replaces. That said, I have car chargers, the sync cable and mains chargers so it's unlikely I'm going to be left short. |

QUOTE(w411y @ Dec 30 2005, 11:52) you can change the color of the text by editing the xml or using a picture editor you can lighten the area of springfield so you can see it better. I would do it but my pc is bust!! It'll be a first for me, playing with xml, but I'll take a stiff drink to embolden me and dive in! Related question, are you up for any suggestions for further Homer related screens? For one, when you dial 999 with the phone locked, a confirmation screen pops up, maybe Homer's vigilante polie force could make an appearance? Actually, now that I think about it, encouraging people to test that might get us both in trouble, but you see what I'm getting at? Are you up for further ideas for inclusion? |

QUOTE(w411y @ Dec 29 2005, 14:54) @paul.... you need to download RJtime (see my first post of this thread for a download link) Thanks for pointing out the clash, ill do an update when my pc is fixed @sno... it should look how it does in the screenshot. cheers guys Ah yes. RJtime and Facade now installed and it looks really great. Top work. Just one thing. The writing where it says the appointments and tasks, on top of the image of Springfield is quite hard to read as it's brown. Have I done something wrong still? |

My phone got a little confused (I think) as I had a previous Homer homescreen of yours installed and it used the old background. I've changed the background manually to the right one and it looks better now, but I don't see the time/date now. I battled with the application permissions so I'm feeling chuffed with myself but this last little thing is bugging me. Paul (SPV C550) |
