first off, i want to thank you in advance for any future help.

i've been searching on this site for many days now and have not really found the answer to my problem.
i've had the SMT 5600 since about october of last year, and everything was perfect. that was until, i let the battery drain out completely. BIG MISTAKE. the only way to get it to charge after that was to buy a universal charger that actually came with a mains charger and a new battery i got from eBay.

both batteries, with the mains charger and the universal one, would take aleast 24hours to charge. and to make matters worse, the charger would not last all day like it use to, topping at no more than 2-3 hours (rapid discharge). i also tried cutting the cable from the mains charger to expose the wires. i charged the battery through this using the negative and positive charges. not much luck.

should i buy a new battery? is it an internal problem that i can fix at home? (i dont have a warranty and i am under t-mobile)

please help, i miss my phone and i don't know how much longer i can take the loaner i have now.

thank you.

Agile messenger uses gprs and you will see a small G with the signal bars, this means you are connected and using data.

i am a little confused as to how i will be charged for using the internet on my SMT 5600.

i have checked my email and went on eBay using internet explorer, but am afraid of what the bill will look like. i have T-Mobile. How do i know when i am actually online? is it when i load a page only? or when both "G's" on my home screen?

will i be charged for text or internet use on Agile Messenger?

thanks in advance

I have an unlocked SMT 5600 that came as a AT&T (now cingular) phone.  What I would like to know is if there is a site I can go to, to get ROM updates.  I would also like to get the carrier build off of the phone and put the basic setup on.  Are there other carrier builds available?  I currently use T-Mobile.  Thanks in advance for any and all help!!

i am planning to buy a nice pair of stereo headsets i found on eBay at a great deal. i use my new smt 5600 as an mp3 and thought these would be best to take advantage of the bluetooth technology and streaming music.

however, i just dont know if it will be compatible. after hours of searching, i still dont know what version of bluetooth i have on my phone and if the purchase will be worth the effort. (on a fixed budget)

once i get the headsets, will i have to change the profile to "headset" so that i could be the only one listening to my music? (and not disturb my ass of a room-mate)

please let me know.

here is the link of the stereo headsets i found on eBay.
