I suffer alot from poor reception, and often the phone goes to 'no service' mode until it's rebooted..

I am running version 1.43.00.00

And I am on orange.

Anyone know which is the best?

Cheers

Can you make the phone look exactly how you want!

It's just themes which you can download from loads of sites on the Internet.. You can also remove the simlock using programs made by many different people.. You can find them here. These are simply 'mirrored' from XDA Developers.. I don't really use the site so cant link to the post\thread with them on there..

I have not used these, but am lead to believe they are safe..

QUOTE(Pondrew @ Jul 29 2007, 12:48) *
I think you guys are brave putting an official rom on your devices. Seems an un-necessary risk given there's offical WM6 roms available for the HTC Hermes.

Do you not mean unofficial?

I guess it is, but i thought the official one was from asia or somewhere?

I am happy standing out from the crowd and having a phone that looks much nicer and is much quicker then the official one.. I seemed to be rebooting all the time until I switched! I still get CRAP phone signal mind you, but that looks like a provider problem! Only another 16 months left in my contract mad.gif

Has anyone else tried to use Skype on B/M?

It seems to work ok for chat but not for calls, it says it's connecting and then just shuts skype down sad.gif

Well I work in Hull, signal seems to be fine there, dont think it's the phone..

I will try it in one of my many other handsets tonight an see what happens!

I have always been a T-Mob user, until I got this.. So I was a little disapointed! Never had any problems with T

Ok, I know I shouldn't expect much, as I live in the middle of no where.. But the signal on my phone is CRAP! I think it's purely an orange thing as I have O2 Sim cards which seem to work ok. But as my phones not unlocked and I am on an Orange contract I was wondering if there was anything I can do to try and improve it?

(see signature for version information)

I know the phone has an external arial port on the back, where do you get these from?
I am even considering buying one...

well mines working fine so far, touch wood...

I may change, but only once it starts playing up!
It's taken me days to get all my software reinstalled again!

Now just need to find a way to increase signal strength

Hello All.

Perhaps not the best place to ask for Black Majik support but I figure so many of you guys use it. it's worth a shot..

All seems to be going well, apart from .......

The 'Automatic' sound profile seems to keep self activating..?
Also, how is this configured? Is it time activated etc?

Any advice would be appreciated!

You might want to install MSN messenger. You can find a compatible version here, don't forget to install the patch as well.

The rest you seem to have sorted! dry.gif

You could try using a third party lock utility..

See this thread: http://www.modaco.com/Automatic-Device-Loc...00-t253644.html

I have found this one: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=261277

Not tried launching it from a softkey, but I have my device set so it locks when you press the power button..
Well it's actually when the power comes back on dry.gif

Hope this helps smile.gif
