You know, I had the same problem with my SAP1. I followed GPCarreon's advice and the joystick worked good as new. Unfortunately, I put a little too many WD-40 drops sa joystick. Now I think some of it leeched under the screen, as the screen has a small oil blot I think. Would this ever dry off? Can anyone help me on how to remove WD-40 underneath the screen, or should I just wait for it to dry? |

Ano nga pala ang pinakalatest na version ng IA Album for the SAP1? Is ver. 1.6 the final version for Windows Mobile 2002? Also, any way to modify the start-up tone or vibrate while turning the E100 on? Thanks. |

Thanks for all the advice. And Geeklord is right. With a Smartphone and TCPMP installed, who needs an iPod? |

Thanks for all the help bout playing .wmv files in TCPMP. I have been busy for a while so I've just been able to reply today. My story ends happily, though I couldn't still play .wmv files ( audio codec Windows Media Player 9,video codec WMP 8 ) after following all your advice,I just simply converted all my video files into DiVX files through Pocket DiVX Converter. The video plays smoother and it sounds better. So I recommend you also to convert your video into DiVX,you won't regret it! MORE QUESTIONS... 1)Any way I have another TCPMP related question: does TCPMP really drain your battery quickly? I've only been playing videos for less than 10 minutes and suddenly my battery loses an entire bar of its life (15-20 %).Or do I have to replace my SAP1's battery, since the battery hasnt been replaced since late 2002? My standby time only lasts about 2 days at the most, but I believe its really less than 48 hrs. 2)This is a longshot, but what the hell. Do you know of any program that could install a radio into a SAP1? Without having to hook-up the phone into the PC of course? Thanks again. MABUHAY WWW.MODACO.PH ! |

Speaking of TCPMP, it's indeed wonderful! But it seems that it can't detect *.wmv files. The CoreCodec website & the other members of Modaco say that it can play the above mentioned files, but they're unable to determine the name of the plug-in file that I have to download.I use the latest version,0.71 on my Smart Amazing Phone 1,w/ Windows Mobile 2002. Any ideas? Any help will be appreciated. Thanks! |

Hi! I've heard about TCPMP from this thread, dowloaded it to my Smartphone, and it works beautifully! Well, except that it could not detect any *.wmv or *.asf files, but TCPMP's website says that it can play those files, and I use an SPV-E100,with Windows Mobile 2002. Do I have to download an additional plug-in? Please help me! |

Hi! I'm a new owner of an SPV-E100 (aka Smart Amazing Phone) courtesy of my sister who works for PLDT (she handed down the phone to me after buying a new one 1) My phone screen now has a "G" icon (which probably indicates that the GPRS feature is activated). Am I already connected to the internet now that the "G" icon is there? If not, how can I connect? Smart Customer Service (*888) says that i should dial "0" but then nothing happened.Any ideas? 2) Will I be charged once I connect to the Internet or only when I download data? 3) When I send MMS to a phone that has MMS capability, will the recipient receive the data regardless that he hasn't activated his GPRS feature on his (the recipient) phone? Thanks, and I hope you can enlighten this green apple.MoDaCo has helped me a lot when it comes to Smartphone info. HAPPY NEW YEAR!! |

Acquiring a Smartphone was one of the best things that ever happened to me,even though it's just a simple E100. It may not be a C500,but at least its better than the early Nokia series 60 phones like the 3650,w/the better screen and all. Anyways,I tried installing one of those animated homescreens, but it doesn't seem to work,as only the standard info was shown (time, date,SMS info, etc.) but no graphics, animated or otherwise. Do animated homescreens work with the SPV-E100? UPDATE: Through scanning the various forums, I found out that so far, there is no way to do it unless you have a Smartphone 2003,which I don't. Oh,well, you can't win 'em all. Here's hoping someone will prove me wrong... |

Hi! Duomaxwell02M here. I'm kinda new here & I just got a Smart Amazing Phone (spv-e100) handed down to me by my sister who works in PLDT (Philippine telcom company). Any idea if the homescreens in MoDaCo could be used by my phone? I just downloaded one of those w/ a .cab file extension but I can't get it to work.I placed the file in my Smart Explorer under the IPSM\Applications\Home path. Any help would be appreciated. |
