I have recently moved to New Zealand and now have an NZ vodafone prepay sim in my phone. Checking the balence on this is slightly more long winded than I'm used to as o2 is simply *#10# which I set as a speed dial. With vodafone there is 3 ways to check the balance: 1) phoning up the freephone number and going through a sequence of keypresses. 2) using the vodafone live! application from the sim card which eventually sends a text message with the balance. 3) texting bal to 777 which texts back the balance amount. out of all of them it seems 3 is the quickest if i could somehow find someway to setup the text message being prefilled with subject and receipient. then i would just need to set a button to send it. does anyone know of a way i can do this? |

I'm off to New Zealand in a weeks time and it would be a nightmare if data connections were active, not to mention costly! I was just wondering, I disabled my '3G' in the comm manager and then set nodata to disable my t-mobile connection. I now have a large 'G' in a white square. Does this mean that its deactivated or not? I have tested with a browser and it says that it cannot connect with current settings. I know that sounds like its disabled but I just want to make sure incase I run up a costly bill. I was expecting some sort of 'X' for the icon instead. |

I have mixed up my C500 and Kaiser mains chargers and don't know which is which. I know your thinking, wait a minute... they are both mini USB adapters and do the same thing. But I'm in the process of doing some packing and want to make sure I get the C500 charger in the C500 box with the phone etc. So I was just wondering if someone could tell me what some of the writing on the Kaiser charger says so that I can confirm which is which. Cheers. |

Just wondering if anyone here has an idea of how to change the clock skin? Ideally, I would like to keep my today screen the same but just change the clock to look like the one on the diamond. |

Using a bunch of tools created by the clever chaps at XDA-Developers, i've created a MoDaCo Boot Splash for the Kaiser. Much nicer than the T-Mo one and should work on any Kaiser! Download and extract the attached ZIP. Step 1 installs Hard-SPL on your device (CID unlock and no signature check for flashes). Step 2 installs the actual boot screen. As with any flash process there is a slight danger of bricking if you were to do something silly part way through the flash - you do it at your own risk. It worked fine for me though! P PS This process won't hard reset your device, so your data is safe! ![]() If this method above doesn't hard reset my phone, is it possible to run the zip file but for me to upload a different picture? |

I was just wondering if there is a way of changing the t-mobile splash screen image on my kaiser without having to make a hard reset? |

HSDPA has just started to appear on my Vario 3 in the west midlands (stafford)! Finally I can enjoy faster speeds. Couldn't believe my eyes when I first saw it, thought it must have been a mistake! |

This is when I am glad I only entered a 12 month contract last November, I am really put off by 18 month contracts. Even though I had to pay a little bit more each month for minutes and texts the overal benefits are huge. I enjoy having the freedom and flexibility as great handsets like this are coming out so quickly. The phone looks fantastic but still have my reservations about the full qwerty, and having to switch it round to landscape... even though this looks alot quicker that on the Kieser. very interested to find out about the update to the Touch Dual, and if it comes with all the features of the diamond or do they undercut it like the Dual. ditto, i took my vario 3 contract out at the same time. there seems to be some confusion as to the official specs of the device however once a review becomes available i would be very interested as the device looks so much nicer that the vario 3 in terms of visual aspects. |

ok so i guess its the signal that needs to be turned off, and the backlight turned off which will allow maximum battery to be saved. is this possible? |
