I am also looking for a clock/day based profile changer. It seems silly that we can't leave our phone on and have it not ring out loud when we are asleep.

your way to go is Autoflight. You can setup a schedule that will turn to silent/radio off at the evening and restore it back on on the morning.

I was looking for a time countdown based expiring profile - just like the function "timed profile" on Nokia phones. Autoflight can not do this.

I agree Autoflight is a good program with very useful features.

However about the profiles I was looking for something much simplier (and easier to use) - everyone knows Nokia timed profiles - that's what I really miss on my smartphone - set profile, define expiration time at which profile will be back to the one before the new timed profile was set. Is it difficult to be implemented?

Hi Owen,

Any idea about the squares instead values as pictured in one of the previous posts?
This happened after using SDA_Unlocker to remove the phone lock.
It is a nice tool, but useless after fully unlocking your phone. I would love to be able to use it again!
The phone I experience the issue is i-mate SP5.

cheers

Put a file in the My Documents/TomTom folder on your phone (not card). Any file will do. TomTom will start normal. After that you can delete the file in the folder since TomTom put it's info there.

I was just going to post update on my problem - yes - I was missing the file in My Documents\TomTom (CurrentMap.dat) (I forgot it got deleted during update as it was in phone memory. Everything is back to normal.

Somebody suggested to turn bluetooth on before start TomTom. On my phone this is not necessary - TT engages bluetooth just fine (exactly as before).

I have to say everything is smooth so far. I am stunned with the improvement IE has! Renders huge pages very fast, FRAMES(!), nothing more to be desired!

I have the feeling MIDI playback got better compared to before. Anyone else mentioned this?

very cool!!
I missed so much that old XT time game.
Few things that can be improved though - it would be nice if the game switches backlight to always on during play (just like TomTom for example does), autorepeat feature of the controls that engages if you keep the key depressed causes unpleasant effect. But overal the game is great!

Now I also got the squares sad.gif

It definitely happened after I unlocked the phone with SDA_Unlock (to be able to run OmapClock).

Is there a fix for the squares?

i320 looks much better IMO. Keyboard looks better too. Quality looks higher...
Look at the space under the screen of i320 - looks like it is ready for square (320x320 I hope!) screen in some of the next versions.

I am not Samsung lover, but if I have to choose between Q and i320 I'd go with the sammy wink.gif

The program is very nice! I just tried it on my i-mate SP5 - seems to be working ok (will post updates if I found anything strange).

This is actually the first program I've found that can estimate run time on HTC Tornado (WM5) devices which is excellent!

Beersoft, could I aks you couple of questions - program runs always in background and collects statistics data and this is the way it estimates runtime remaining based on battery charge % - right?
If so - does program load somehow on startup meaning not necessary to run it right after reset in order to start collecting data? (I didn't see it in memory when I restarted the phone)

Thanks again for the nice tool!

Did you put your SIM card inside?
Can you make calls?

This might also happen if your phone can't register in any of the available networks.

Does the signal indicator show wi-fi signal as well? And is that why it says I have signal with the big G since I have wi-fi?

no - signal indicator is only for the cellular network.

Hi All,
My Qtek 8300, always displays Roaming Icon, eventhough I'm in a home (Rogerrs) network.

Discussion and solution on the problem you can find here

Most likely the roaming indicator is a result from Rogers/Fido integration.

Is there a software for HTC Tornado (SP5/8310) that can display which is the current frequency band the phone is connected at?
It would be nice if we can have a home plugin and display the frequency near the operator name - for example "Rogers [1900MHz]" / "Rogers [850MHz]"

I kind of found something that can be used to determinate the frequency you're at - cellprofileswitcher - it can display the cell-id you are currently connected to, with the help of the nice naming habits Rogers has (my carrier) I can determinate the frequency I'm currently on. But this is not as convenient as it can be if it was a home plugin.

I just tried EDGE vs. GPRS registry tweak on my SP5 on Rogers Canada (we are supposed to get EDGE), however all I see is "G". It could be my location however - coverage at home is quite bad. I'll see if I get "E" when I go downtown for example.

Check this thread

One note - either I have no EDGE coverage at home, either this trick does not work on my SP5.

It is a good idea to read pinned threads before posting btw wink.gif

cheers!
