Well, if you write not only stuff that is better, but also all stuff that is worse, I still dont see how this treo is better in any way. Btw even all these are very trivial things. Except MiniUSB maybe. I would say only slow CPU outweights all of these "drawbacks" you provided. And optical joystick is not a drawback at all, provided it can function as mouse too and it can not break since have no moving parts. |

Why not work a proper capacity battery into the thing in the 1st place HTC??!! Because a lot of people prefer small thickness/weight over battery life. Personally I think I will go with third-party 1800MAh, its cheaper and utilizes back space more efficiently without making device too "prismy". |

This thread and WM5torage version here are both for touch and non-touchscreen WM devices - its same for both and should work on both types. No idea why CAB doesnt work for you though, it works for everybody else. Obviously you must run it (click on it) not from PC but from your mobile device. |

I thought all ASUS pdas/phones supported mass storage mode by default? Even if it had somewhat less features than wm5torage. |

I want to know whether can I use my HTC touch as USB-Host, i.e. can I connect USB driver to it and access the files. Unfortunately this is not possible. OK, it's working now but when i de-activate and try to do a normal Active Sync.(AS) my Device freezes & i need to do a Soft Reset to get the AS working again,........do you have a solution for this or am i doing something wrong?? What is the Troubleshooting option "Disable Concurrency" do/mean?? Its in the FAQ. You may try not to use Disable RNDIS option and permanently/manually switch Advanced Network Functionality off, if the automatic switching causes problems on your device. |

Thats because on many PDAs USB driver never even tested with Linux. They test them only with ActiveSync and with Windows. |

Version 1.8 is released. Thanks to all testers for the contribution. If you've used the beta versions, you may delete the wm5drvlog.txt file in the root of your device storage - after you install the release version and do a soft reset. |

I have no time to do this, at least now. Also on most devices there is a conflicting evidence - for some people it works, for some it does not. Because in many cases its not solely device dependent, there are too much factors in play (and all is known is in the FAQ already). Basically the only thing that 100% certain that its a wild AS-IS shot |

However, for some reason, both options are grayed in my case. Is it due to some OS restrictions? Generally they should be grayed when all other options are grayed (ie when wm5torage is activated or valid flash card is not available). If they are grayed out when other options (ie leds, removable, etc) are not, something is not right. Is that so? ¿wm5torage works in Windows Vista? works under Vista for me.. |

Hello, I can't see those troubleshooting options - I have Treo 750v and they are probably hidden in the part of the screen which is out of the 240x240 resolution (which means below the "© 2007 ..." text. Ouch, I've totally forgot about 240x240 screens, sorry. I will see what can be done - autoscroll is easy on smartphones, but on PPCs its a pain to implement Edit: ok, corrected the UI to better go with various screen sizes. Troubleshooting options moved to menu, soft buttons rearranged according to Microsoft guidelines (most used action - left). 1.78 Beta 4 is attached. |
