I am using a WM6 rom from Chinese website. That made my old c555 look really cool. Now it can use WM5torage and the phone recording function of AudioNotes. |

Cool. But the font looks awful on WM5 devices. Is there any QVGA compatible version of this cool app? I am not the author, so I can't alter the font style. But I also got another version of the app, which could let you choose the tinner font and show the memory status, but a little bigger to 11k. |

Thanks. What does it actually do? I dont wanna install something that I cannot uninstall again. I have more than 50 apps installed so I cannot see them in the "remove programs" menu. It's just a slim programe, won't install anything to your system, won't slow down you system. It's only achieve after you run it. So, you can't see it after you restart you handset, you must run it again. |

1) My SPV seems slow and I was wondering if there is a way of speeding it up! I was thinking that as it is windows based it might have a clean up function like windows! (clearing out the temporary files that take up so much space) 2) My joystick is a bit temperamental when trying to go down, any suggestions? 3) What is the current rom version as I am on 8.2.1.11 Answers to any of these questions would be greatly received. Regards Dom 1) try hard reset you handset, and don't run too much softwares, end the inessential softwares after use it. 2) replace it^_^, 3)the rom version seems won't be updated by orange, if you like, you could try the T-mobile's version, but some guys said it's worse than orange one. And I also have the China Mobile version, which could change into english font easily and merely build in WM basical software, no file manager, task manager, no other music player, it's jiust clean and clear |

cheers for the heads up - link is fixed! and with respect to 160x160 album art, i didnt know that was "default" or "usual" dimensions - either way i think looks fine... netx versions of the skins will have 160x160 tho Because the default skin use the 160x160, so all the folder.jpg I made is in 160x160. When the skin use other dimensions, the album art picture will look ungainly, especially the line. |

any way, I think you'd better keep the picture of AlbumArt in 160x160 size, so that it display in normal way. |

you just need to press it once, and the sound will keep going to the headset, of couse, you need to end the cdial.exe first, or it will become the voice dial. |

Use the task manager to end the cdial.exe, press the talk-key at you bt-head-set, and enjoy it PS: The sound quality always sounds like the radio, because of the limited bt speed, I think you won't get much delight. |

I passed the park listening the music with 550 just now, and was annoyed by a f@cking mad dog, it bited the line of headset, and the phone droped onto floor and turned silent all of a sudden. Now, it always keep in the headset mode no matter the headset be pluged or not. And it does make any sound in any software with or without headset. But the ringtone still works. Before I hard reset the phone, I found all my calendar data lost. After the hard-reset, the problem still be the same. It always be in the headset mode. Anyone know what the wrong it is? I am out of guarantee time now, so I could only fix it by myself, but I can't do it, please help me....... ![]() |

QUOTE(Ingvarr @ Mar 26 2006, 10:11) Windows Mobile 5 is required. Sorry, but I cant possibly make it work on WM 2003, as only WM5 allows USB protocol implementation separate from USB hardware driver - on WM 2003 Ill have to rewrite whole USB hardware drivers, and of course its not feasible. It's quite sad to hear this message. It's means I must wait for the WM5 rom for c550. |

I never use orange's network service, so I could check my account. And I don't want to lie. The only thing I want to say is that Orange do not pay responsibility to its product. I should have returned it in the first 15 days. |

I got this news from gpcarreon.com. "Look what O2 Germany has on their page: the ‘O2 Xda phone’. The Smartphone looks the same as the Orange C550 (HTC Hurricane) but appears to run a different operating system; Windows Mobile 5.0. " Is it still in HTC Hurricane & Variants? It seems that we could probably get the WM5 rom for 550. Germany O2 ![]() |
