Had a SMS from Orange earlier in the week saying that they would shortly send me another SMS with a software update. Received this today QUOTE This is a software update for your phone from Orange. Click on the link to download, don't worry it is free and won't take long http://www.orange-update.com/2 So click the link and IE opens, then prompted by: - QUOTE Download file 'OrangeUpdate_C550p_signed.cab'? I haven't said Yes or No yet because I don't want it to undo my unlock or decertification. Anyone else had this and what did you do? |

My wife has a SPV C600 and just recently she has been having big problems with sound from the internal speaker. The speaker that deals with ringtones seems to work fine. When she makes or receives a call she cannot here dialling or voice at all and the other caller cannot hear her. She can hear and be heard using the wired handsfree. She dropped the phone a couple of weeks ago and it has a bit of a dent but has worked okay since. Any ideas as to what might be the problem and whether it is fixable? (either DIY or professionally) Any help appreciated! |

So I figured that sending a file by bluetooth would be as simple as finding the file in File Explorer and then sending from there, however there is no option to do this. Can I send files by bluetooth with the standard s/ware or do I need to install Smart Explorer to do this? |

QUOTE(mini_man @ Jan 18 2006, 22:41) its a gr8 use, but the thing im wanting is to disable the media play/forward/back keys from linking to the designated media player. I want to just use them for every media player instead of opening another. its a bit annoying as my mates keep pushing these buttons while in tcpmp (i use wmp for music so have kept the media key the same) and it keeps opening up media player. Strange? I followed the instructions to the letter - now if TCPMP is closed any of the media buttons opens it. If it is open all of the media buttons work within TCPMP as they should (albeit that I had to map these using TCPMP's own Settings under Hot Keys. None of the media keys open any other media player installed on my C550 now. Is that what you want it to do? Scratch the above - I think you are wanting to be able to use the media keys in 'any' player you have open on the phone and that is what this doesn't do. Does TCPMP not handle all the files you would want to listen to/view? |

Great tip - makes the media player side of things much better now I have done this. Thumbs up to those involved in sharing the knowledge! |
