I have faced the same problem as well. without able to register, we won't be able to download the driver, ROM etc.. for Touch Dual. I have wrote to HTC and still waiting for reply.

You can set the Long Press End key in the setting to lock the device manually. Just press and hold the red key for a while.

You need to check carefully, the 1G microSD does not come with a casing. It is just using a sticker to paste it inside the box.

Dopod 818pro has came out a patch for solving this problem. Once this program is installed, you can select between USB or serial mode. This serial mode will bypass the firewall problem.

I believe yahoo.com isn't free if you try to use smtp /pop services. try gmail it provides smtp services.

I am using Dopod 818 pro but I have searched the whole device, there isn't any hsdcard.dll


IN HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\ Drivers\SDCARD\ there isn't any HostController folder. Only ClientDrivers.

I was previously using sygate. I have an problem of sync after hard reset of my ppc. It always hang at "retrieving setting".

I have overclock from 180 to 240. Here is the result of running a same movie clip for the same amount of duration. The TCPMP display the clock speed of 225 instead of 240.

It shows that there is an improvement on the avarage speed.

It seems that it is the camera.exe does not have this feature even thought the registry has large format. I guess we have to wait for the next camera version upgrade to see if there is any.

Some one has posted the overclocking of OMAP 850. I have personally tested it by changing the clock rate from 180 to 240. The speed of loading and execution of program has greatly improved.

I have found out that the Frame per second can be changed.
In the HKLM\software\HTC\Camera\Recparam\MP4Medium\FrameRate for Medium size video or HKLM\software\HTC\Camera\Recparam\MP4Small\FrameRate . The default value for Medium is 15 FPS. I have tried that it can take up to 30 FPS anything greater than that will reset back to 15FPS. Also the BitRate can be changed too. I am still playing around with it to set the optimize setting. Anyone can try to see if which value can have the best video . One more thing, the AtimetoWrite which is Audio time to write and VtimetoWrite is the Video time to write. This 2 value should be change to high value as The file size will be greater.

I have this problem with the WM5's alarm but after installing ptravel alarm the problem is gone. It can be found in www.burroak.on.ca

In Burst Mode , the camera will keep taking picture as long as you are pressing the camera button. It will store the pictures in the RAM and when you release the button you will see a message saying saving to the memory which is the ROM.
