So I love everything about the 6.1 except one thing. Using Windows Media Player, it now takes 5-10 seconds to switch from one song to the next on my Storage card playlist. It used to switch instantly before the upgrade. Because of this lag issue I don't use my phone for music anymore... Is anyone else seeing this problem? Any easy way to fix it? |

I believe the Alarm still goes off Audibly even if all the settings are Vibrate or Silent. For example, I hate being bugged by calls/txt/email at night so I put the phone on Silent before I sleep... but my alarm still goes off at 7am and wakes me up to the SexyBack ringtone! |

Yep, Extreme Text is good until u start having a lot of conversations with the same person... It takes it a very long time for it to go thru all the inbox/outbox msgs to prepare them into chat style making the program useless. Has anyone found another program that integrates w/ the built in Messaging and has better performance? |

For those living in the States, check out this store (WMexperts Store). It has an awesome inventory of great quality headphone adapters. Make sure to select Cingular 2125, then click "Headphones". This is the one I bought (Standard Seidio 2in1). I couple it with my Sony MDR-EX71SLA Fontopia Bud-Style Headphones (black to match my Sp5). Although the final solution is expensive ($30 for adapter + $40 for headphones), it is well worth it in my opinion. The headphones are the Best earbud style you can buy under $40. I do not use the extension that comes with them making the end to end length just perfect! In addition, the adapter has a superb mic , volume control, and call answer/end button. PS, there are several more adapters on that site in case you don't like mine. Ka$h |

Is there a way for "Vibration interval" in Notifications to check first whether vibration is allowed in the current profile? Example: At night I put my phone on Silent profile. Meaning no disturbance whatsoever even if someone's dying. So in this case, I would like the phone to NOT notify(vibrate) me of missed calls/msgs, etc. PS, the "Play sound" already checks for this! (I am using version 3.86) Thanks Maniac! |

I was very satisfied the camera on my previous smartphone (Audiovox 5600 aka C500). All it required that I change the Ambience setting to "Night" and the pictures/videos came out brilliant. Now with same settings on the SP5, the white balancing is terrible. The lighting jumps back and forth and most of the pics are overexposed rendering the pics/videos useless. So now I just use the "Grayscale" setting and live with B/W pics/videos... |

awarner (MVP): All normal phones that have screen savers leave their LCDs on by default. Why is the battery drainage never an issue for those phones??? maniac103: It's funny that you mention Automatic Keylock. This is exactly the reason why I want the LCD to be ON forever. What an amazing application! Just need to figure out how to keep the LCD on now... |

Is there a way to keep the LCD on forever? On all my previous (dumb) phones, the screen saver would show info such as the current Time which I could see outdoors without pressing any buttons. Note: I don't want to change the backlight functionality, just the LCD. |

Is it possible to download files (i.e., zip, exe, pdf) in Pocket IE? I have the aku2 update and was hoping they’d fix this, but no luck. Since it allows to download JPGs, there’s gotta be a way to download other file types... |

I got tired of waiting for the smartphone version so I asked my friend who has a K-jam to install the WM5 PPC beta version, zip up his AgileMessenger folder and email me a copy of it. I unzipped and installed it in \Storage Card\Program Files\ and ran Messenger.exe and Voila! It works very very well even without the stylus. However, for the few times a stylus is needed, FakeCursor or sphelper come in really handy (i.e., invoking a URL). PS, I would attach the zip file, but I'm not sure if it's allowed here. Kash |

kam_, I've been checking this page everyday for the past month for the updated version of fakecursor, but no luck. Hopefully you'll get a chance to work on it soon. Kash QUOTE(kam_ @ Feb 18 2006, 09:27) hi! I also wanted to use the camera button, but couldnt get it to work way back then. I think other people have posted how to remap the camera, so you should be able to find a thread on here about it. The going back to the homescreen is hard coded into the exe. I've been trying to remove it, but it seems to be something to do with how apps exit on WM5. I have to hook in another API (through assembly *yuk*) to pass focus to the previous window id. I've been too busy recently to look at this, but worry not, changes are planned. |
