well.. it might be worth it just to open the phone up and see if it has the dreaded "contact" speaker... there in which i means the speaker sits on 2 metal contacts instead of being hard wired... which is a common problem with smartphones... ive had that issue with every smartphone ive owned so far. except this one.. havent had it very long... it looks like the phone has 3 screws behind the battery holder and thats it... you might want to tap the phone to see if you can reseat it... but this is all just a theory.. but can you hear the person talking through the ear peice though? |

oh and did i mention palm pilot devs have a running GBA emulator. i havent tried it out since it was comercial... not freeware... i highly doubt it would be impossible to make a gba emulator for the Pocket Pc..... |

Tapwave Zodiac brought it up zodacgamer.com i know the Zodiac has an 8meg ATI 3d chipset in it.... but the psx emulator dosent use it if im not mistaken (not sure) inorder to use the 3d Card on the zodiac you have to have your app signed by tapwave... which is out of business... soooo..... i wouldnt fret that factor |

well... on the upside... palm Pilot developers have a running PSX emulator.... it runs on 200 Mhz systems (kinda) i think around 10 FPS the human eye sees full frame rate at 27FPS(TV).... it's already setup with a compatibility list.... PSX has a 33 Mhz processor in it... it is still in beta .034 i think a long way from stable but it works. GBA shouldnt be too hard.... considering the GBA is 32 bit and the PSX is 32 as well besides that... the GBA runs on ARM processors... most PDA/Smartphones run on ARM... either that or X-Scale..... so so coding out the processor translation shouldnt be needed... more of a chance there... makes it have to do less work... the only bugger would be the sound. SO THERE IS STILL HOPE! |

yay 2003 upgrade went flawlessly... i have a question though.. i understand the permissions crap..... i cant belive we cant install custom homescreens. verizon is full of idiots... thats one of the points of a PDA. it is highly customizable.... but they were prolly afraid we would try to "Hack the phone" and get free internet or something... but i installed and "animated" background for the home screen and it wont animate!... it uses a .ani file to run animations... any answeres? |

hey i just got an i 600 this is the only open forum on the i600 that is still running to date... i was just wondering if i could get some ideas i bought a phone off of e-bay and it had 2864 on the description... but i dont know if it has the 2003 version of windows on it(they didnt put it in the description).... i was wondering if anyone would so happen to know if this could point me out to the version number... it will still be a couple of days before it arrives... the cool part is i got it for 100$ with 3 batteries, case, charger, cradle and the company has a great rep! their ebay name was OldCellPhone. they had the cheapest unit and the best deal for it... it even has a waranty! i read so many bad reviews... made this phone sound like it's going to be another 7135 nightmare again. but i am in best hopes for this phone as it seemed best fitted for me. well i just really wanted to say Ohla. nobody be to harsh on the newb! |
