My Xda Exec has trouble connecting to a certain home wireless, which I have been given what I believe to be the hex digits for as the wep key.

Is there a way to use this to put in the wep key, or a way of easily converting the hex digits to the normal 128bit key / 64 bit key??

QUOTE(Jasonkruys @ Jan 2 2006, 12:12)
Yes, that is correct, it depends entirely on the headset itself. I have a motorola headset that can store pairing data for 8 handsets, another for only 1.
*

I've got an o2 Blue headset, which according to their online site, can support 2:
" Pairing (in headset or handsfree profile), multi pairing (at least 2) "

I pair with my C500. Then Turn bluetooth off on C500. Then pair with Xda Exec. Turn bluetooth off on Xda Exec. Then try again on C500 & it doesn't work. Any ideas??

Also, same goes for TomTom... Should I be able to pair it with 2 phones?

On my C500 I can sort the Contacts by First Name, Last Name
On my Xda Exec it's set to Last Name, First Name and I can't find an option to change it?

Is it possible?

bump!

Any ideas anyone?

Also i'd like to use one tom tom unit for 2 phones. I have a C500 for my personal phone with TT Mobile, and an Xda Exec for my company phone which i've just bought the software only Navigator 5 & Maps for.

Can I use the BLuetooth GPS unit I got from TT Mobile, for the navigator as well? (Again, not at the same time!)

Merry xmas! I'm still up playing with my new toy! hehe

Since getting my company XDA Exec and a new bluetooth headset which is significantly better than my cheapy headset which I use with my C500.

I was wondering if it's possible to use the o2 headset for both phones?
I tried pairing them, and each time I paired with one phone, it stops working on the previous phone
(i'm trying them one at a time, rather than both phones bluetooth switched on)

is there a way to rotate tomtom around so that its horizontal - rather than vertical?
I've got a very handy slot in the dash of my car which will let me slide my XDA in and rotate the screen round so that I just have a screen facing me!

Only problem is tomtom automatically has its screen set to portrait mode. Any ideas if this is possible?

Thanks!

I have just got an o2 XDA Exec. I'm downloading the new rom now, but I'm wondering whether its really worth doing a corporate install? & What exactly the corporate install strips off the phone?

Cheers

TomTom has been working till today.

Starts up, but does not connect to the GPS device via Bluetooth. Running v4 on a C500 with latest rom.

I tried deleting the phones pairing with the device, but when I run TomTom it now doesn't try to pair with the device!

Any ideas?

Searching around ebay I found an E200 for sale along with the TTM software SD card.

I am about to sell my E200 which has TTM installed and so was looking around at what kinda prices they were going for.

I will not post the link to the sale on ebay unless i'm definately allowed, but is this not illegal?

He does not say anywhere that you get the product code / license for tomtom, infact you don't even get the bluetooth receiver. Could this be a tacky way of making more money?

I could sell them the MMC card with TTM installed onto with my E200...Yet i would still own the product license for TTM, as well as the bluetooth receiver, product code etc.. that I bought originally?

As the title says,

Is it possible to sync my C500 to 2, or more Desktop PC's via Bluetooth. If so, how?
I added a new Bluetooth device for activesync, however when I go into Mobile Setup on Activesync, it only has my home PC listed and not any other.

When plugging in my C500 via USB to my PC I get the message:

USB Device Not Recognized.

"One of the USB devices attached to this computer has malfunctioned or ..."

Any way to fix this?
Also, is it possible to get Bluetooth to sync to 2 Different PC's, without changing settings?

Cheers

Pete

the MMS settings are found under your Inbox, Menu -> Account Settings --> MMS

I had the settings working on my E200, but for some reason my C500 will not work with the identical settings! I'm running with the cab file off CABbage and have changed a few settings, still will not work! It just cannot display any pages, grrr

ah nop I did get it working afterall.
You do need the traffic plugin to use TT4 on the C500.

Using all original software / hardware & all legit. Don't want to spend the extra money on upgrade till I'd use it enough to make it worth it!

Thanks

Hi All,

Just upgraded my E200 to a C500.
I have copied all files over from the MMC card to mini-sd, have run TT on the phone and it will not connect to the GPS receiver.

I believe I need a traffic update for it to work on the C500, but where do I get this from? I'm not subscribed to their traffic service..

Cheers

I don't have the Traffic update for TomTom, do I have to subscribe to it for it to work? I'm confused! hehe

Hey, I've been using an E200 for a couple of years now almost, and I'm finally moving to upgrade to a C500 which I have purchased and should be on its way in the post to me!

I paid for TomTom Mobile about 6 months ago for the E200, have it on the original SD card and works fine.

Now with my C500 coming I would like to use TomTom on that instead. My questions are:

Do I need to upgrade to TTM5 for it to work on the C500?

If I need the upgrade, then what do I upgrade with? I have tomtom on SD card now, when I goto upgrade, it asks what phone I have. If I choose the C500 - will it not work if I try to upgrade off the E200 SD card?
Eg. Would it be better to upgrade to the TTM5 with E200, and then copy all the files over after the upgrade to a mini-sd?

If I can use it without the upgrade, can I just copy the files off the SD card onto a mini-sd card and continue to use it without any

Lastly, I have a car adapter for the E200, will the in-car charger for the E200 work for the C500?

Cheers

E200, it seems to be keeping the connection more still.
Is there anyway to tell whether its the bluetooth giving up, or the gps signal?

Hey,

I just bought tomtom Mobile today & have it running on my phone. It says the first time it can take up to 45 mins to sort the gps signal out. I have left it & the picture Went back to colour for a while.
Left it for 30 mins... I come back to it and run it again. And it seems to have a very dodgy gps connection.

I haven't yet charged the gps receiver, as it will only charge in-car which mine only works if the engine is on.
At the moment, it just keeps going Colour / Black & White & has a few low Reception on the right hand side in the bar. (only has 1 bar and it's sitting right next to the phone)
Also The map is moving around even though I'm not moving - is this normal?

Also an added note: keypresses seem to be really slow when typing in an address for example - nowhere near as responsive as normal.

Thanks
