Hi to u all,
i've an SP5m and i've read somewhere (some time ago) HOW to move ring tones (i mean the sounds i can choose to play when i receive a call .. or on a new incoming sms/mms) from ram to my mini sd. May u help me to find that tricks? Thanks
Othoca

PS
I'd like to move not only the ringtone i use .. but ALL the ring tones so that i could choose sounds from a folder on my Mini SD instead of in Ram. Is it possible? and if yes how?

sorry for my late, i've been out for work.
I've tested your last version (1.04). This is what has happened :
Now the wav file has played after 1 min has i said in the admin side of your app. It played 2 times then it stopped to play even if i left the phone without checking the lost call. So i tryed to open the admin.exe but it freezes and i could terminate it only through the taskmanager.
I shutted down the phone to try again but with the same result.
It seems that after it worked it freezes itself. Of course before install i deleted the previous version (the 1st one u made).
If u want, u can send me all the english phrase and i can give to u the italian translation of them. Tell me how!
Bye
Fabrizio

i've copied the app with no probs and the admin side has done its work with no probs too. Now i've done a call and waiting to listen trolley.wav after 1 minute, but i've had the following error :
Exception
CheckforReminders(play)
impossibile caricare il tipo opennetcf.multimediaaudio.player dall'assembly opennecf.multimediaaudio
version=1
culture= neutral
publickeytoke = null

the form with the reminder appears saying me i've 1 missed call.

It seems to be an error correlated to play the wav file.
I've an imate sp5m win wm5 onboard and cf .net 2.0 framword installed and xbar3.1
Any idea?

r u sure that your app is not crashing because of too many resource allocation? from what i know, wm5 has not a such mechanism if an app takes too many memory quit it.

yes MSCOREE2_0.dll is in the windows folder of my imate sp5m. I suppose it means that ALL .net cf 2.0 files r there. I wait your tutorial how to move them in the minisd.

I'm interested in writing a plugin to add functionalities to the home screen of my imate sp5m.
After a little search i've seen that these plugins r written only in c++. Also installing VS2005 under C:\Program files\Windows CE Tools\wce500\Windows Mobile 5.0 Smartphone SDK\Samples\CPP\Win32\Homescreen there is a sample how to do that (always in c++). I've read that these plugins r mainly COM objects, but i've found only examples in c++. Now i ask if it is possible to write a such plugin in c# or vb under VS2005 and if there a sample somewhere on the net. Thank u.

well really i've installed .net cf 2.0 choosing the storage card and i was sure it was there. Now reading that post, i've checked and in my storage card i see a folder \Storage Card\Program Files\.NET CF 2.0 but it is empty. Does it mean that the files r in the phone memory? but where? under windows folder? i do not see them. hujer if u r sure that u have moved cf 2.0 under the storage card and all is working fine tell us how u've done. Thanks

Before posting i greet u all.
My name is Fabrizio and i write from Italy. I'm an "old" Delphi developer and now i'm beginning to develop in visual c# under Visual Studio 2005
The reason for which i ask your help is that : i'm planning to buy a smartphone and i'm thinking to imate sp5. BUT what is the difference among Imate sp5 and imate SP5m? i've seen on imate site their technical characteristic and (except for the color) the only thing i've found is in Processor/Chipset :
SP5 : TI OMAP 850, 200 Mhz + TI E-Syren
SP5m : TI OMAP 850, 200 Mhz

what is this TI E-Syren? R there other differences among them? what is the best for u?
Thanks for your help in advance.
Fabrizio
