I posted this to another thread a while back but I think it kinda got lost.

I haven't seen any ill effects from doing this yet. The one program that I did have an issue with was Route 66, and that was solved by simply moving the entry for this app back into the AppMgr folder.

Some applications may ask if it is OK to let them run as they aren't certified but this should only happen once after you move the entries for those programs from the AppMgr folder.

Saved myself over 5MB of phone storage by doing this!

I have Qtek 8310 and I noticed that some of birthdays come one day earlier?!?! I don't have t tell you how surprised people are when I congratulate them one day earlier!

Any ideas, same expirince and hopefully solution for this problem?

I've searched the forum and read all the earlier posts but I didnt find answer to my problems..

I just got my hands on a QTek 8310 with 1Gb MiniSD card. I've updated the ROM to 2.0.9.0

I've installed some software like Farcade, Agile Messenger and RJV Tonesetter....

The phone was fully charged and worked nice...

Yesterday when I charged it over night with the main power charger the light was solid orange as it should be and in the morning it was green. When I unplugged the phone it took like 30min and the battery was on low again.

I turned off the phone and charged it again. It took about 4h and the light on the phone was green again.
I turned on the phone and once again it took less then 30min before I get a warning that the battery was low.

So I made a hard reset. Charged the phone again for 4 hours and I have the same problem still.

Is it a battery problem? If so where can I buy a new battery with the same capacity as original battery?
Places within Europe is a plus.

If it's not the battery what can i do or try? The phone is sadly outside warranty as it seems..

Suggestions and tips are more than welcome right now..

Hi daveng , Yes i moved all the files from this folder onto my PC as a backup, only file in there now is 'Traffic Counter SPE'
Ive just been on the phone for an hour, and still the Battery level is still over the 1/2 marker.
Im looking into what these files do i will be copying some of them off the phone to the pc, and looking at them with a editor , hopefully this will show what these files do.

Yes connect to the PC and syncs, not tried camera
:idea: smsClassZero... does it recieve sms's and tell you about them?
Yes they are still coming through and still get notification
:idea: EzPushRouterRegister... Is GPRS still OK?
Yes connected with MSN at the moment (Without Cradle attached)
:idea: AddContact... can I add a contact? how about if I see a contact in the body of an SMS, does it let me add that?
Yes just tested that , sent a 02-alert to the phone with a no dummy no on it and it let me add to contacts.
Ive absolutly no idea why these icons are they and what they are doing

I have a vespa - as in my avatar, i have been toying with the idea of mounting my sp5 onto it somewhere so i can utilize tom tom on it, does anyone have an ingenious idea how to mount the phone without any danger of it falling out when hitting potholes etc...

The best way i have come up with so far is to use a universal cradle with the addition of a velcro strip on the holder and the back of the phone

WOOO! Got my anycoms They look as good as they sound! The controls seem to work fine except for the play one But forward back and pause work gr8!!!

Although I here dropouts as well but I will test them later in open air

I emailed anycom to see whats up with it but overall im very very pleased with it all

Were you able to change the height of the Fizz Traveller plugin in the homescreen? I tried various values for the height parameter, but it had no effect at all on how it looked on the homescreen. I am running v2.3. Can you please post the XML for that plugin?

I can't select * and # as a hotkey on qtek 8310. I now set it to 11 and 22 hotdial.
The only disadvandtage is that the phonenumber dialmode don't dissapear itself.

EDIT:
Pressing # in homescreen shows the SIM contacts!

On the mobile, in settings, the list with installed programs is gone, just blank. Do you know how i can get it back?

either hot key them to * and # key or what i did was use facade launch bar and have them inthere as an option to run

you can download any type of files in the IE, in Smart explorer you can choose file-open-manage file types, than choose type that you want download by IE and in it - edit file type and in this menu you can accept to download this file by IE
