If you click on the images of the C550 (at engadget's website), it takes you to coolsmartphone.com. There it says, "The latest gossip is that the Orange SPV C550 (pictured) will be launched on Orange on July 11th 2005". |

Hi all, Firstly I'd like to apologise for not being around much lately. Unfortunately things here at work/home life is getting a bit hectic. I'm receiving PM's asking whether or not people can make amendments to my screen. As I won't be around much (but will pop in now and then), please use this blanket authorisation to go ahead and do so. My only request is that if you are going to make amendments to one of my homescreen, please give credit in the XML or when you're posting your amended homescreen up. e.g. Hey all, I've made an amendment to *insert homescreen name* that Leon1970 originally made. blah blah blah isn't Leon great! blah blah his homescreens are soooo sexy blah blah. You get my drift In case you're wondering which homescreens I'm talking about, here are the links: Burnout 3 Nissan Skyline Penzoil GTR Koenigsegg CCR Porsche GTR Mercedes SLR R Racing Revolution Battlefield Vietnam Enjoy Leon1970 |

Thanks for getting back to me, I see exactly what you mean now. Sorry about that.
I'll attempt to fix it over the next couple of days, but to be brutally honest, it was a total pain in the arse to try and get the colour scheme right. Some apps are defaulted to black fonts and will not take on any custom colours listed in the XML. Also the problem is that when you change a colour for one screen, it changes the colour for other areas of the phone making it really tricky to get a colour that matches the theme but works in every single app. None the less, I'll see if I can work something out. Thanks for bringing it to my attention |

Thanks for the great comments guys fultonius and telstar, sorry I haven't replied to your problems earlier. Is it possible for both of you to either PM or post a screen shot with the screen that you're having problems with? Only I thought I'd fixed all colour coding issues a while back. If I could see exactly what areas the problems are in, I should be able to fix them. Thanks. |

Thanks DRAGONITE. It's works on my SPV Classic but I don't have a C500 to try it on. Now, if someone can send me a free C500 so I can answer the question.... |

Hi Kaseho,
Not sure exactly what you mean by "access" so apologies in advance if I'm just repeating what you already know. 1) Download MercSLR.zip from the 1st page of this thread to your desktop. 2) Extract the hme file contained in the zip to your desktop. 3) Copy the hme file to your phone. Ideal place is your storage card. 4) If you have Smart Explorer on your phone, run this and browse to the hme file you've just placed in your storage card. 5) Click on the file or Run the file. This will install the Merc Skin. 6) If you don't have Smart Explorer on your phone, copy the hme file to Storage or IPSMwindowsStartUp using ActiveSync's explore tool. 7) Once the hme file is in StartUp, reboot your phone. 8 ) Upon reboot, you should receive a message saying something like, "Would you like to install the kick ass, simple, gorgeous Merc Skin to your awesome, kick ass phone to enhance it's appeal to the wider market?" or something like that 9) Click Yes and there you have it. Hope that helped |

![]() File Name :: Burnout 3 Takedown Author :: Leon1970 Category :: Computer Description :: Comments Woohoo! This game totally rocks! I wanted to create a homeskin for it whilst a had a free moment and this is what I've come up with. Please note that I will not be making any amendments to this skin as far as extra plugins, colour scheme adujstments unless it renders your phone useless. Sorry, but just haven't got the time at the moment. None the less, enjoy Updated Mon, Oct 17 2005 10:14 pm View File |

Hey Blakey,
Thanks for showing interest in my very limited skill Sorry it's taken this long to reply but kinda been busy. Nothing wrong with a Skoda Fabia, very powerful car, but I'll have to decline in creating a skin for the time being. I will, of course, make one but it will be a while yet. I managed to create another homes skin featuring the game Burnout 3 today but that's only because I literally had a few hours spare. Sorry but hope you understand. I will update this string once I've done it Hope that's cool. |

Hi all,
I have a problem with uninstalling Smart SS (Screen Shot software) from my phone. When trying to uninstall the program from within settings, I get an error message, "Smart SS could not be removed from your phone". When I try to delete the registry key entry for it, it says, "Unable to delete key". When I try to install it, it say, "Error, can not install Smart SS". When I checked the registry entries of where the files are located, I'm missing the Smart SS folder from StorageWindowsAppMgr which might be why it's causing a problem. Not 100% but I certainly don't remember moving it manually. Could someone please upload the Smart SS from the above mentioned folder? I can try and paste it in mine and hopefully that might kind of work in a very long shot type of way :/ Any other suggestions would be helpful. Thanks |

Now this is freaky. I noticed my screen of the phone light up in the corner of my eye. It was the message to say it's unlocked! I had tried every 15 mins from 7pm last night to 1am and then again from 9am to 12pm today.
It just did it :/ Thanks for your help though guys! |

After I installed the 2711 update, I can't get the phone decertified from:
http://developer.orangews.com/orgspv/comdefq.aspx I have tried numerous times and contacted orange support but they've never even seen that site I go through the process and advised that the phone will receive a message letting me know it's unlocked. Unfortunately, I never get that message on my phone. I have been able to unlock it with out any problems up until this rom update. Any out there who can help? Hope so. |

Wow! looks like you had a good day out k9oky, thanks for sharing your pics with us. Some nice pics there, I really like the Safety Car, I think I'll attempt that one in the future.
I'm taking a break from Skylines for the moment, just wanna work on the TVR and others for now. Once I'm "refreshed" from Skylines, I'll attack the street version of the R34 guys, stay tuned (should only be a couple of weeks) Thanks for all your interest in the meantime. |

Glad to hear you like it Disco Stu.
Sorry skyline_gtr, I'm very limited when it comes to xml plugins etc, I don't know how to add the names to the short cut menu. I'm sending to you a PM with an attached zip file. In the zip file is a new xml with the Calendar font size the same as the Profile font size. As far as the problem with the selected colour at the programs menu is concerned, I'm must admit I'm not sure what it is you're referring to. Do you mean the scroll bar? |

Thanks for those images skyline_gtr, I think they may be on the small size compared to the quality of them. I'll see if I can do anything with them though.
Thanks again for them |

Yup, I believe the TVR is next on my hit list Ivor skyline_gtr, can you remember what the site may have been called or anything at all? It would be cool if you could, no problems if you can't. In the meantime, the finished Pennzoil GTR homeskin is now finished and available for download |
