I currently own an HTC Tytn II (kaiser). Now my mobile phone operator has given me the option to get an Samsung I780 cheap as my next phone (for about 120 €). Is the samsung phone equal or in any way better than my tytn 2 ? Should i get it as upgrade (and sell my tytn) or should i stay with my kaiser ?

Thanks ! That worked, the showclock entry was set to 0. The strange thing is only, i never changed this one and it was set to 0 just after a hard reset.

Wisbar Advance 3 did the job. I installed the app and now my screen looks like yours and the symbols are ok now.

That theme is the default theme given by my operator (ONE - AUSTRIA). I´ve installed Kaiser Tweak, but the screen problem was there before (just after the hard reset).

I did a Hard reset cause my problems with Kaiser playing no MP3s could not be solved (http://www.modaco.com/content/HTC-Kaiser-Kaiser-MoDaCo-com/264966/HTC-suddenly-plays-no-more-MP3s/). No it plays MP3s as usual, but my screen has problems: The spot where the time should be shown in the upper right, is empty (just grey), and where the signal strength should be is also empty (see screenshot).

Ok i tried that. mp3 is now associated to the media player. media player opens and says "the file cant be found". but the file is there and ok (when first opening the media player and selecting the same file from the media library it plays.

I did a soft reset today, and after that my Kaiser wont play MP3s as Ringtones or via File Explorer (selecting an MP3 as Ringtone has no effect, it plays the "Windows Mobile Ring" Midi File). When selecting an MP3 via File Explorer it says that there is no program associated to this file extension (the symbol in the file explorer for mp3s also looks like unknown file type (the white rectangle with the windows symbol in it). When starting any MP3 Player (GS Player, Mediaplayer, Audiomanager) it plays every MP3 on the Phone properly. But when selecting an file via Fileexplorer or as Ringtone it wont work (WMA or WAV are still working as Ring by the way).

You could use GSPlayer (Freeware) with this Player you may also create playlists.

For me I had to select the right access Point in MMS Settings (a wrong one was set to default) and after that choose the MMS Access Point in my Connections Settings manually to use when I want to send (instead of Autoselect Acess Point).

Isn´t it possible to change the voice rekorder format on Tytyn 2 ? On my previous WM Device (Qtek Mini 2) was it possible to select between AMR and WAV. Tytn 2 always records as AMR. If not possible is there an converter from AMR to WAV for Pocket PC ?

I have to manually select "ISP Name" for Wifi and "One Internet" for my Hsdpa Connection. When the Kaiser connects to my Wifi Network and ISP Name is selected it works (only connecting to my Wifi doesnt work, i have to set ISP Name as the connection to use).

Did you change the Connection Setting to "ISP Name" (so its called on my german Device = Wifi). That will make sure that all apps use the wifi connection.

Do you have tips to save Energy (battery time) ? I didnt found an option to turn off GPS, is it off by default and only on when needed ?
Backlight is set to nearly minimum.
I havent found a program to clock the cpu down (xpuscalar doesnt work - its being installed, but after that the app cant be found on the device).
Other tips to save energy ?

What i need for my kaiser:
Is there a backup solution which runs on the ppc ? my mda compact 2 has built in a tool to backup contacts and calender directly to the cars.
How can i set the contact menu to show only the contacts in phone and not the ones stored on my sim ?
And last question: is there a traffic counter for mobile internet use ?

Does the Removesecurity.cab also work on a german Kaiser ?

A question about button config. My Qtek S100 only has 4 Buttons: A Calender call button, one to open the phonebook, one to make call, and one to stop calling. I understand i have to set these buttons in the config, but how are these 4 Buttons called (i´m from austria and dont know the english words for these buttons).

Didnt work on my Xda Mini II - the screen has vertical stripes, but the game seems to run, as if the resolution isnt supportes.

BTW: Theres a Windows Port of Rott out there called "Winrott" which runs Rott under Win with higher resolutions.

Found a bug (i think so): While all games run really fast, streets of rage 1 is extreme slow (dont think its the z80 emu, sonic 1 runs great).

Any chance to get Wonderboy 5 working (seems that the backup ram isnt supported) ?

When playing turtles the background is missing, finalfight shows nothing after the character select and exits.
