I also tried a new battery. This discharging process still exists and drains the battery. There is something wrong with my phone. Can anyone help...Please.

Hi there !

For the past few days I am unable to recharge the battery of my MPX220 using the charger or USB Cable.
Instead of charging the battery, it discharges the battery and at times the phone shuts down automatically after complete discharge of battery.

Please help and/or suggest any useful tip.

I have been using MPX220 for some time now but haven't been able to view the sms with unicode characters. Instead, boxes appear in place of the characters.

When forwarded these unreadable sms to some other phone, they can be read as original.

Does anyone know how to enable unicode support or download any software for that.
Please help.

For the last month or so I am facing this problem with my MPX220. The signals drop all of a sudden to near zero. And then it becomes normal in a minute or two. It repeats quiet frequently now a days. I tried with another handset and found out that its not a problem with the service provider. Due to this problem the battery discharges faster.

I update the ROM to 1.49 a couple of months ago. I was thinking if it has something to do with this.

I originally had ROM 1.28. I wanted to upgrade it so I tried to upgrade it to 1.49 using ofline updater.
But it did not work. There were some technical problems as well as Rom version still showing 1.28.
Then I installed ROM 1.43 and it worked fine. Then I tried to install 1.49 over it but yet again faced problems because it showed Rom version 1.43 after upgrading . Now I installed 1.47 ROM on my phone and it installed fine.
I still want to install ROM 1.49. Anybody who has a clue of whats the problem with my phone.
The ROM 1.49 is the same as present in the surrealnetworks...

I got the solution.

The process of Upgrading completed with success and when I rebooted the phone and hard reset it after installing ROM 1.49, I got some more problems.
Access is denied in the Phone Settings with an Error Message "The settings could not be opened"

And the suspicous one is the Settings ->About shows that.

Manufacturer: 1.280.0.0
Microsoft: 4.21.14326.0
Language: 0.300.16.0
File System: 4.21.14326

Please guide me what is the problem and what should I do?

I am trying to upgrade the ROM using offline upgrade tool 1.85 to ROM 1.49

But got the message at Step 3 while detecting Mobile Communication.
"Upgrade Procedure Fail, Please Remove USB-CE Bus"


Please help if anybody knows the causes...
