I keep finding places that show me how to share my computer internet thru wifi to the phone. I want to do this backwards. I share my data service with my macbook pro all the time using bluetooth. It works great! However, i'm tring to figure out how to share data serivce from the phones wi-fi. I'm looking into this because i want to get the iPod touch... instead of the iphone. Do you think this is posisble. I don't want to leave Tmobile, and too lazy to hack an iphone. this could be a neat alternative.

thank!

No need for me to post disassembly pictures. Someone has already done so on Howardforums. The image quality and details are very straight forward.

What's great is at the end when he shows the phone on w/o a LCD even in it! Now that's ballsy.

Has anyone tried PDAparts?

I got mine for like 80 bucks after tax and shipping. It worked perfect. it's a snap to put in. I've had to do this twice now. Except the second LCD was WAY cheeper.

No, I do not work for them. I was just very very happy with their services. Fast as heck, and cheepest i could find

8 gig?? where i live you can only get a 1 gig hahahaha. phones stores and cingular stores suck, that's all they got. unless i order it online. even SD's website doesnt have any larger than a 2gb micro sd card on their site. why is this?

o btw i like how this card has a write speed of 8mb/sec. its not even an ultra II card.

I have noticed I haven't been able to find a 4 gig. Which would come before 8....

BTW. Check best buy. My best buy in austin tx, had Micro SD 2gigs on sale for like 29 bucks. Sounds like your in my area-ish. So, maybe check there. It made me mad, I paid like 70 for my 1 gig.

Hello there! I´m trying to make a Windows Mobile 6 theme for mi HTM MTeoR, but i can´t find the default wallpapers (the blue and green ones) shown in the 3GSM.

i looked too.. no luck

However, my idea is to just find a good screen shot, and crop it out in some photo edit. It's been used in the past for the green theme background, and who ever did that one did a fair job.

when in a txt field (eg writing an email) if you hold alt and press space you get the option to switch from Xt9 (which I agree is a POS) to abc which is normal input.

You might have to do this in a few places (email field, IE address bar, IR form etc) but once you switch it off in all those places it stays off.

Nice! Thank you very much. I've tried everything. Holding #, alt...ect This makes it perfect!

I just got a new Dash. Yay! for me... and you I assume.

Okay. has anyone found out (or wanted to) turn off the prediction strip at the bottom of screen when typing something. I have to always press the spaceba- button twice. Once to accept the word, and another for a space. But only sometimes.

It's got a a full keyboard. I just want to type..... or maybe i just curse to much for XT9.

<------- now it's the Dash!

I cannnot find out how to do this.

A few friends at work and I want to trade movies, music, ect at work. Is it possible to bluetooth these large files to the SD card? Is this possible with WIFI?

The files are too big for the phone it self, and doesn't give you an option to change directories, or to SD card. Also, it seems as though if we could do this by WIFI it wouldn't take as long, right?

Any help on this would be great, I just cannot find this. We just can't use the computers at work for this, must be 100% device to device, no computer.

Thanx in advance

I didn't replace them (LCDs) like i should have. I took a transparent paint and painted on the back of the rubber of the key pads. Was some what risky, as some paint eats rubber away, or makes it sticky. I used a lamp/glass paint. it's less toxic (wont eat rubber) and it will also last longer with constant pressing. Works great, so far. I got a very light blue. Turned out nice. I also thought about orange.

not related:

thought it was worth mentioning, as i was recommended to post..
My friend painted his Razor phone, and it was sticky, left his finger prints in it, and marked up really easy. My recommendation for painting things that will be used daily is to use auto paint base color, then auto clear enamel. bake less than 100 deg for 12-18 hours. After this, sand with very very fine paper, and polish. I used a finger nail polisher. This smoothes and hardens and will protect against moisture and pressure. Then buff with a light compound. Just a thought, as he said it would be good to point out what i did.

I found a way to avoid studying this weekend. I customized my T-mobile SDA (US). It turned out so good, I thought I would share it. (brag) :-D

Description:

The metal around the phone I sanded with a very fine sand paper to create a smooth brush metal look on the edges. Then I painted the phone with flat black, and multiple coats of clear auto paint to keep it from getting scratched in my pocket, and for a glossy touch. Baked it over night, low temp to make sure paint was hard. Then polished it to a very very smooth glass look. This made the orignal flat black a very very dark gray, like gun metal. I also colorized the LED behind the keybord so the light is a darker blue, also made the "t-zone" button clear, lights up blue. Some other small detials added as well.... 20 hrs of later..

Anyway, let me know of your thoughts.

Anyone know of an app, like 4.0 students or LabWorX - Student Organizer v1.0 on the Smartphone?
Is anyone using something that they like that helps with school origination?

What are the other students using on the Smartphone besides pico and GBA emulators?
I know paper works great, but I've got to justify my expensive purchase somehow ;-)

Oxios task plugin is working okay, just seems limited; or i'm expecting to much. (fully possible)

Have you tried the built in tasks program? If you sync with outlook you can create them on the phone and then set different categories (say the name of the class) using outlook. And if you want them on your homescreen you can use the free oxios task plugin.

Oh, I got this working.... Thank you! This has been the best setup so far.

Papyrus looks really neat so does Oxios todo list... but I feel like I must find or at least look for a ... less expensive alternative. This is pretty great. Only thing is i can't set categories using outlook. I can't sync with a mac... yet

BTW thanks for the recommendations!

I'm trying to find some software that I can input school assignments, test, ect.
With more than one catagory, for muiltiple classes, .Also having upcoming events (assinments) showing up on the home screen.

Been looking for something like this, but haven't found anything.

Does anyone know of a "to do list" that will place things on the home screen if no such app exist.

Right now I use the WM5 calendar, but everything has to have a time, and gets all messy with the way I’m trying to use it, it seems it would be great if you synched it all the time. Having a mac stops this because I never get to sync.

Any help would be great, summer classes are killing me!

I'm sure someone has already thought of this, but i'm gona throw it out there anyway.

I don't think it's a hardware button, i think it's a window that pops up on a PPC, but we don't get the "X" to get out. What if we had a key setting program, to get past this menu option problem. The perfect example of this is with the PicoDrive emulator for smartphone. It comes with a Key edit program.

Check this out. http://www.gamesforsmartphones.co.uk/picodrive.shtml

Another option i've explored is looking around at the files, and seeing if i can change the values of them in the file, thru an txt edit program. But i have failed at finding the right file, so far.

just some thoughts.
