I realise this is fairly unsubstantiated, but i have a warm feeling in my toes this will have GPS built in.

Orange will be in deep doggy doo if they dont release a GPS phone and quickly as the other carriers have !! plus other carriers have now sorted out the issue with this model I find it HIGHLY unlikely this will be released without GPS fully functional on Orange.

you'll see !!!!

either that or i'm wrong, which has been known once....back in 1985 it was.....

yes. unless you've got an orange spvm600 since orange seem to have locked the phone so that you cant'

Not so, that's the phone I have and I installed Resco registry editor and all worked fine. The only issue is once the phone skin is removed I seem to have lost the smart dialling options (when I type the name in it doesn't show the list of names). I assume this is part of the skin ? if so, are there other phone skins I can install ?

cheers

I use TT5.21 without problem, start up is about 12 seconds, i think it take longer with larger maps and loads of poi's

if i disable poi's and install just a smaller map from (southern uk) from an older version of TT then i load much quicker

i have also noticed differances between what SD card i use, my older cards seem to be slower

It actually seems to me that the more applications you install on your prophet the longer tomtom takes to start up. Strange. Anyway, when i reached a certain point it jumed from about 15-20 seconds to 30 ish....not great but nevermind...hopefully someone will find a fix soon enough.

cheers

I can install applications ok but it refuses to uninstall any of them -
the only solution is to do a hard reset and start all over again.

Anyone else having difficulties? i've already hard reset to take a
couple of apps off. this time i just wanted to update phonealarm to
the latest version, attempting an uninstall left it non-working and unable to remove the old version or put a new one on.

Surely its not meant to be this difficult? is it something orange have locked?

Try soft resetting the device before you uninstall, then should work fine. Essentially for some reason you need to have NO running apps which usually requires a soft reset.

Yes I did, unfortunately that didn't work either, I still get "StowawayXT.dll not responding". I dont think the drivers support the SPV m600 yet...hopefully they will soon.

cheers anyway.

Did you install it over ActiveSync? If so, then I'd suggest uninstalling, and then installing the driver on the device itself by running this CAB file from the Think Outside website.

I've heard some reports of prophet proccessor being a bit slow for some applications. Anyone have copilot or tomtom working on prophet? Any reports?

Tomtom 5.21 with the tomotm bluetooth GPS works fine for me !

the only issue i'm having is that it is taking 30 seconds to bootup (which it wasn't to begin with). Will probably hard reset my device this week and re-install to try and resolve the issue (find out what the conflict is). Most others seem to be reporting a 10 second ish boot time.

Hi,

I was having many many many problems getting activesync 4.x to sync my SPV M600 phone while my sygate firewall was enabled (to the point of driving me mad !). I trawled through all the solutions and found this, which worked perfectly. Hope it helps others !! :

The following registry change on the M600 resolves the compatibilkity issue of AciveSync 4.1 and Sygate Security Agent.

Registry Sub Key: [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINEDriversUSBFunctionDriversRNDIS]
Name of the Value to add: MTU
Type : DWORD
Data: 1514 (Value is Decimal)

Registry Sub Key: [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINEDriversUSBFunctionDriversRNDIS]
Name of Value to add: MaxOutTransfer
Type: DWORD
Data: 1642 (Value is Decimal)

Hi,

I have just upgraded to an orange SPV m600. However, I can't seem to get it to work with my thinkoutside stowaway IR keyboard.

Once installed I get the error message :

"The keyboard driver ("StowawayXT.dll") is not responding. Please re-install."

Anyone else had any problems with this, or indeed, got it working ?

thanks
