I've been playing around with OneNote, but I've run into a bit of a snag. Each of my phones makes seperate pages in the mobile notebook and I can't figure out how to get them to sync. Other than manually copying the notes from one page to another. And sadly AS doesn't give you any options.

By default text alerts must be WAV format, you must have had some Software that let you use MP3s

No, they don't. They just need to be in the right folder. Of which there are 3 or 4.

Sadly they are even slower about payments now then 6 months ago. I'm stilling waiting for my November payment. Last I heard from them was the week before Christmas I received an email saying that if I didn't receive payment by the end of the week let them know. Well I let them know and still haven't heard anything. I figured I'd give them until Friday before I uninstall their software and send them an angry email.

I don't know the newest alpha of pocktCM is pretty good. And free http://www.pocketcm.com/contact.php
Download and install the stable (cab) then overwrite it with the development (no cab available yet sadly). That way you get the faster interface, but fully integrated into the start menu.

I use one called Conversion, which sadly I can't remember where I got it, and it doesn't include any info but its nice and simple. I can post it here if anyone wants to try it.

If i'm honest i'd recomend scrapping that and just go for a nice HD TV.... I have a 26" and i have a fairly small room but the graphics really improve on HD and the prices are fairly low atm so that'd be the best way to go.
Are you on old post patrol today Goochy? smile.gif

I have a set of kyoceras I really like I got from woot a couple of months back. Sadly they are discontinued and getting a little hard to find. I only paid $30 or $35 shipped but here they are for $60 http://www.qvc.com/qic/qvcapp.aspx/view.2/...;cm_ite=E185327

You ever notice how most of the people who say it works great have 5 or fewer posts? Funny.

Not of interest to most Shadow owners I imagine, but the 'Favorites' button was annoying me in PIE, that I couldn't change it to 'Favourites' for UK use ;)

SO... I downloaded the Resource Tuner trial application, extracted the browseres MUI file from the ROM, edited it to read 'Favourites', and replaced the copy on the device. IT WORKED! biggrin.gif

Theoretically, you could change just about any text this way tongue.gif

Depending on shipping charges at that site it may be cheaper to get it through eBay. I think mine was only about $6 shipped.

I would recomend getting an Elite if buying a 360 just buy a few microsoft points i recon...but if your commited to the arcade then should be fine if you don't want to buy more arcade games...I would say a ps3 is more a feminim console as i dont feel that a 360 is a "girly" console with only a few games being a more "girly" game e.g. ViVa PiNaTa.

I don't think the elite would be necessary. Unless you're downloading a ton of demoes and movies 20gb should be enough.

btw I just read something that says the arcade system only comes with demos, not full games. Making it a total rip off.

Yes. The hdd is great. With you can can download demos, trailers, themes, gamer pics, etc. I think the 20gb is fine (although its only about 13gb useable). But I always delete demos when I'm done with them. Besides you can probably get a premium with hdmi whereas I believe the arcade is only the older model (which is what I have, but more connection options can't be a bad thing).

I'm not using gmail, I'm using email from my mail server. And as far as I know hmail doesn't even offer that as an option. I'm thinking its something weird with the T-Mobile network here, but I haven't heard anyone else complain about it. I guess I'll delete that account and set it up for a different account (either gmail of my never used isp mail account) and see if it still does it.

Recently after setting up email on my wing (never checked my gmail using it so I set it up with a different account) every time I have email I get a sms with the title of the email and thats it. I'm sure I set it up the same way my gmail was set up (it never had the problem). I've even switched roms (I used to run the stock rom but now I'm using Touch IT 2.3). After setting it back up it after the flash it still has the same problem. And since I never text I don't have any kind of messaging plan, so each one costs me 15 cents. I'm not sure if its device specific or network related. Any ideas?

I am running the proxy though, which shouldn't matter.

Phatnotes is also an option. It's more robust, but to be honest its kind of overkill.

I used it for a long time then I stopped when I got my wing (I couldn't get it to work). When I was using it I got my initial sign up pay, plus 1 other check for monthly data. Recently I got it to work on my wing (no idea why it didn't work before) and they even are counting the last month I used it on my SDA so I'll be getting a check this month.

You do need to be a little patient with the checks though, my first transfer check wasn't sent on time so I waited until the next month and sent them an email. I got my check shortly after that.

Maybe I'm the only one but I don't see the appeal. For about the same price you can get a much more powerful laptop, but more hd space, ram with a dvd drive (or even a burner). Oh year and a 15.4" screen. I'd rather carry 6 pounds for the better specs than carry 3 and have the tiny screen. And it doesn't even include windows (I haven't read any reviews of its bundled os).

Does anyone know if there is a way to set activesync to sync files to a folder on the storage card instead of the my documents folder on the device?

Thaks so much for your help...

I think I am prob being really thick but have still been unable to get this to work. I tried first to download the adobe file you suggested, and saved it to my PC to start with - perhaps that was a mistake? - but have now been unable to transfer it to my PPC. I then went to vTap as suggested and was eventually able to download the software, but am continually getting 'server unavailable'. Now perhaps the server is down, but I think it more likely that I have done something wrong. Any ideas? Thanks

There is no reason you shouldn't be able to transfer the cab over to your ppc to install it. Be aware that youtube should actually direct your mobile browser to the mobile version of you tube. Also be aware that other flash content generally requires at least version 8, which doesn't exist for the ppc.

That does seem a nice way of doing it... that never works in the UK tho!

P

With T-Mo in the US you don't even need to say you're leaving the country. Just call up and say you want to sim unlock your phone. As long as your account is in good standing and it has been for at least 90 days, and its been at least that long since your last code request they'll grant it. They're so much easier to get a code from that AT&T. Of course that hasn't stopped a lawsuit against T-Mo in regards to locked handsets from being allowed.

QUOTE(dleasman @ Oct 9 2007, 15:48) *
I disagree... You do not have to do this to unlock.

All you need to do is modify a couple registry keys... First get regeditSTG2 on the phone, and then use it to modify the following keys:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Security\Policies\Policies0001001 -> Change the value data to 1
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Security\Policies\Policies0001005 -> Change the value data to 40
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Security\Policies\Policies0001017 -> Change the value data to 144

After that, simply run the SDA Unlock. Then you should be able to do just about anything.

If this does not work, and you get messages about sim lock, then use a more thorough approach, outlined in in a different post of mine here:
http://www.modaco.com/search.html&nav=...sult_type=posts

It's quite easy, and does not even need a sim in the phone to accomplish.

Whoops, didn't realize they had already sim unlocked it.
