I have just gotten an I-mate Jamin and i want to use it to connect to my internet access at home. I have the wi fi turned on and it is connected to my wireless router however, when i open up IE and try to go to a web page, it tries to connect to telstra.internet and connect using GPRS.
What do i need to do to change the settings so that it uses Wi Fi instead of the GPRS?

Cheers

well in that case looks like the speakerphone component has been worn out/damaged because of the loudness of the music being played through it.....replacement i think smile.gif

Replacement...hmmm....
I bought the phone off ebay, and am not sure about the warranty, is that through clubimate.com? I haven't signed up as a second hand device user yet...
Where in australia will i be able to get it fixed?

Are you playing the music louder than usual? The speakers on phones arent designed to play music. They cant correctly playback the frequencies so you can get weird staticy/crackly sounds, if you have the volume turned up the distoration is further exaggerated. Does the speaker work fine when you make phone calls?

The speaker works fine when in a phone call.
I have been playing music and sound bytes for as long as i have had it, and only just recently started playing up. It has always been on loud to play the music etc.

Hello
I have an I-mate Sp5, and have had it for about 1 month. I haven't had any problems up until now. When playing music through media player etc, the sound is all crackly. It only started on the weekend and am not sure why. I have always played the music with no problems. Has anyone else had this problem? I have tried resetting the phone to defaults to make sure there were no software problems.
Can someone please shed some light on the topic? Or do i need to take it somewhere and get fixed?
I am in Australia

Cheers

could you not point the sms towards the ring tones in sound categories instead.?

what about the program called Don't Forget. search for it in forums..
this app lets you choose a wav file and it will sound when you miss a call, email, sms, mms, etc..all options to change as well, the reminder time, notifications

not to sound pedantic but he said he didnt want to use a task manager i think he wants to what i do most applets on WM5 do not have an exit button so you can hot key closeapps to say 0 then when done with your applet press home hold 0 and it shuts it down from running in the background and opens up memory space for other things.

however it does leave some applets running tht are "hidden" such as autoflight, aotukey lock and smartfilter

among st a few other essential system programs

on the ball conan_troutman...exactly what i looking for...just a matter of finding it..

No good champ, doesn't work says it's not digitally signed. And pretty similar to going to the task manager anyway..

I would like to know if there is an application that can be used to close programs when exiting. I would like to be able to close applications straight after using them, rather than having to go to task manager and closing them from there.
I have an Imate SP5.
There is an application called Magic Buttons which works on a Qtek, but does not work for sp5

Any help

I have installed the hack, and it works after receiving one error message. I have logged in and everything looks fine, however it doesn't show any of my contacts. I currently run skype on my PC and i have contacts there, but when i run it on SP5 my contacts aren't appearing. Is there 2 different versions..should it not show my contacts?

I have installed the latest version of the software. However in the admin settings, i have the check boxes and what not, but there is no writing next to them to tell me what they are for. Eg if it is SMS, MMS email etc.
Did something go wrong with the install?
