I didn't get the SMS (obviously ) but i did receive the email where there was a DL link..

Worked like a charm

Tried it. Like it! And it's free! tongue.gif Since I don't have access to radar locations here in Costa Rica, I guess I have all I need in the free version. Feel just a little guilty though.

It's also free (full version) for PLUS members, this includes a sh*tload of other software too!

Well, i'm using a HTC Diamond as my main device, but I prefer the looks of the C4 and have an upgrade available... so yes! I'll be running a custom ROM tho! smile.gif

P

I don't like the back of the C4 but I also have an renewal available (4 months before the end of my contract),
But I want to see what the C4 is going to cost compared to an Diamond...

I hate the branding, you saw what it did to the Vario3 in regards to speed mad.gif

Thanks Paul, I just read 20 pages to get to the same conclusion :-)

on a side note, will you be trading in your Vario 3 for a Diamond (Compact 4)?

I have a Kaiser, but i find myself using the onscreen keyboard more often than the slide out keyboard
Mainly because I need to wait untill the screen has been rotated..

With all those different SIP's now a hardware KB is no longer a requirement for me..
- Touchpal
- PCMKeyboard (free) link
- Zoomboard
- Spb Full Screen Keyboard
- Phraze-It Keyboard
- PDA Keyboard v.1.0 Light Edition (free) link

I think i'm going for the Diamond

Only problem it can only be launched with hardware button. (i own a Touch, don't have much hardwarebuttons, and like to touch the screen smile.gif )

So i wonder, do you know of a program that uses a icon in the upper bar, or gesture, to launch a custom program?

I just installed it (WM6) and there is a link in my programs folder called "task switcher"

As far as gestures you could try FTouchFlow (search for it on the xda-developers.com site)
But because you have a touchFLO enabled device i'm not sure if it will work the way it should...

Thanks for the response, but would the HTC Homeplugin have a programming interface that I can use in C# or C++. For instance, does it have a brightness.exe that I can call within my program with commandline arguments?

thats something I'd also like to see

Offtopic
Something similar for the sound level would also be nice :-)

For the bug can you confirm that you are using the latest version (v0.510, or v0.511 which includes the AppToDate Stub)

I got the cab file from your website this afternoon (just checked it has apptodate support)
QUOTE
A few questions to help me identify the cause:
Do you have ANY Outlook Tasks at the moment, and if so did it show those? (if not could you create a test Task and see what happens)

Nope I don't like them (in their current form ;-))

Opened up pocket tasks and did the "tap here to..." and the task was added
btw. the ones I made using nested tasks were in there.

QUOTE
With the "failed" Task did it show no text at all to the right of the checkbox? (it should default to "New Task")

No it was empty, attached screenshot, the top one was the "new" one the second an older one which I edited to show the name
QUOTE
Can you open the "failed" Task in Nested Tasks? if so does it show any text in the subject, or any dates in Start, Due or Reminder?

Yesit opens, but no subject and the dates are gray
QUOTE
On the face of it I would say that it failed to create the new root Task properly in the first place, which may be a WM6.1 issue. If you can answer the questions above I can look into it (I don't have a 6.1 device)

If you're feeling bold you could give the cooked roms a chance, the loneranger rom (mentioned on the modaco forum) is blazing fast

Paul, which rom are you using (since we have the same phone)

Hey Chucky.egg

Great idea, I wasn't able to check out your program but is it/ would it be possible to import/export this information to a txt/csv file?
the reason is that I would use this for personal use (keeping track of programming ideas and to-do things),
if I want a backup I'd have to sync it with outlook which has my work tasks in there.

I did try your program, but I got the following error when I clicked option>new>root
next I opened the program again the task was created but there was (obviously) no text next to it
subsequent tasks gave me the same behavior.

I'm using a MDA Vario 3 with Dutty's WM6.1 rom (which has CF 3.5 installed)
Let me know if you need more information

Hi Paul,

I'm pretty new with creating cab files and I'm tying to get the cabwiz to install the xml to the "\Application Data\AppToDate" directory,
but for some reason it is not working at all...
Could you post a working inf file maybe the cameraware or apptodate.inf file so I can see how you did it?

Thanks!

-=edit=-
I've used your "advanced" ApptoDate support, adding a reg setting provided a workaround :-)
thanks anyway

maybe a bit offtopic, if so forgive me :-)

I'm looking for a program running on the PPC or desktop which allows me to use as a proxy...

the long explanation
At work they have blocked some sites, which I find really annoying, so I installed a virtual PC and have it hooked up to the
"PPC Internet sharing adapter" so everything I do in there is done through my phone.
I actually wanted a program which acts as a proxy and where i can specify the connection to use,
I could then just setup the proxy in another browser and surf that way...

Does anybody know of such a program?
or can ICS be used for this...

-=edit=-
also posted the question in the forum over there

Does anyone know if there is a actual "config" option?
I have a 6GB memory card, and I have a lot of stuff on there
- Friends Episodes (located in "my documents" folder
- Photo shoot (resized to show people when I'm on the road)
etc..

Most of that stuff doesn't need to be synced, but it looks like it does mad.gif
Is it possible to specify what folders to sync?

No one else experienced the problem of the message body text not showing up, as I reported earlier in this topic dry.gif

Makes Gmail IMAP...well...totally useless for me if I can't sort this problem :-(

Cheers,

FrankyG

No worries, your not the only one with this issue, me too ;-)
With a MDA Vario 3.

I tried to change my setup from pop.gmail.com to imap, but that didn't work
so i created a new account and had the phone search for the settings automatically, apparently the program picks "pop" as server type wich isn't correct
So did it again manually, now i have the extra [gmail] folder but no email body..

I hope someone does come up with a solution because it is indeed useless like this dry.gif

I'm using the Jeodek Esmertec manager, seems to be a bit better than the standard midlet manager
It did run Opera Mini while the standard one wouldn't

why don't you give it a go?

The new business model simply will ensure that POF will not steal again our hard work and cause us a big loss again.

Like mentioned before: "IF YOU DON'T LIKE THE SITUATION FEEL FREE TO COMPLAIN TO THE THIEVES"

I'm pretty sure that PoF didn't decide on this business model...

As a business you should always keep in mind that your stuff can be stolen/copied/reverse engineered,
And that should be reflected in the price, if I can get an unlocker for 20GBP or for free (with a risk of bricking it)
it's a no-brainer.. i'd go for the free one

(I said if I'm happy with my t-mobile locked phone)

If on the otherhand the unlocker was say 5GBP I'd probably go for the safe solution, with such prices there isn't hardly any
need for a "free" unlocker because it's so cheap..

Yes that's a 15GBP reduction, but you will probably sell more in the long run, at least more than with your "new policy"
