I have a UK T-Mobile SDA II and I've followed all of the steps on all of the different suggested ways of app unlocking the phone, and I can load software on no problem. BUT...I've changed the shortcuts from the 3 of the 4 main buttons [Short_AP1, 2, 3] to apps more useful for me [Tom Tom, Task Manager, File Manager]. Now that's fine until I need to reboot the phone [which I occassionaly have to do, as it seems to freeze sometimes]. This involves removing the battery briefly. After rebooting, the shortcut buttons have reset themselves to their original settings [t-mobile internet, calendar and contacts]. I then have to edit the files all over again using CENotepad. Can anyone PLEASE tell me how to keep the settings when I reboot?? It's driving me NUTS having to do this every week!!! --------------------- Also, does anyone else have problems with their phones going weird occassionally. On mine, some of the keys will just not do anything eg shortcut keys, softkeys, etc even though the joystick will still navigate around. If, say, the contacts shortcut key doesn't do anything, I find I can't even open contacts by pressing Start then Contacts. Only solution is a reboot. |

I've got a UK T-Mobile SDA II and want some sort of emergency charger [preferably AA or AAA based] that would help me out when camping in the hills. I did buy a Scotty solar charger but for some reason this won't pass any charge to the phone. Anyone seen any chargers that might fit the bill?? |

And another thing....! When the T-Mobile SDA II has gone blank on the screen because of the backlight timeout, there doesn't seem to be any way of knowing if you've got a text or missed a call. My previous phone would change the colour of one of it's LEDs to show you'd missed something, while my previous previous phone would show some info on the screen which, while not totally blacked out, was very dark to save power. Anyone any clever ideas on how to spot a missed call or SMS without hitting the power button?? |

Folks - Until recently I had a Mio a701, a useless pda/phone combo. One good thing about it was that you could install a plugin onto the home page that would allow you to add little pictures of regular contacts, which when selected would dial the appropriate number. Is there anything similar for the T-Mobile SDA II?? I know there's the speed dial ability on the keypad, but by the time I've tried to remember which button is for which person I might as well have looked them up in Contacts! |

Hi folks - I've got the UK T-Mobile SDA II and have altered some of the shortcut buttons like Short_AP1, Short_POC etc to launch different programs from the default ones. I did this using cenotepad and everything works fine. However, if for some reason I need to turn the phone off then back on, eg when it freezes, then I find that Short_AP1 etc has reset itself to point to the original programs and I have to re-edit the files all over again. Does anyone know how to stop the files reverting to the default settings on startup??? |

an excellent utility for texting etc is TENGO THUMB Hi - I've installed Tengo Thumb without any probs on my a701. It appears as an option for inputting text, but when I select it the option menu just drops off and I'm stuck with the default keyboard. I've tried setting Tengo as my default input method, but no joy. Anyone any idea how to get it to work?? |
