I just turned it on it's working again! When loading the screen kept switching between being fine, being on but corrupted and being blank, but now it seems to be alright. Hopefully the problem has passed, but I'm not overly optimistic. Identical problems, phone works fine but the backlight is extremely temperamental, can work one minute and not the next, do find that it 'blacks out' more often than not right after a call. Anyone found a solution or know what the problem is? |

QUOTE Yes indeed m8 - that IS what I have done with the appname text (well, I actually put it at an x="200" value to push it off the side of the screen, but same effect). Sorry m8 I only saw the question not the source of whatever skin you are refering too!
QUOTE Is there a way to do the same with the icon itself? Hmmm... not sure have you tried nesting it in the Orange clsid="{A2536C57-6AC2-4c31-9542-B144B0E9D077}" plugin? |

QUOTE Even if I could change text colour between selected/unselected would be good. Dr Blow this might help: CODE <plugin clsid="{79EFB752-CB70-446d-B317-499723482B3D}" name="mru" height="38">
<background b-border-width="0" /> <mru icon-size="16" max-buttons="1" x="44" button-image="IPSMApplication DataHomesb_mru.gif" button-transparent-color="#00FF00" padding-right="10" /> <appname> <format state="unselected" y="38" /> <format state="selected" font-size="12" x="48" y="9" w="85" /> </appname> </plugin> As used in my Splashback skin, rather than changing the colour just push it out of sight of the plugin height when unselected, if that is what you want to achieve. |

QUOTE Alright Celsol. Excellent skin, well done. My problem is that I have changed some of the names of the shortcuts on the start menu, for example, 'Shortcuts' to 'Speed Dials', 'Windows Media' to 'Media Player'. And now the links to these items on the programs taskbar (not the 'recently used' taskbar) no longer work. I was wondering how I edit the xml file to change the paths to these shortcuts. I was thinking it might be better to link these shortcuts to the actual path where the file is kept, ie the Smartphone>Windows directory instead of the Smartphone>ISPM>Windows>Start Menu directory. This way it wouldn't matter if the names were changed on the Start Menu. Okay, open the 'winSxp2.home.xml' file in an appropriate editor (notepad =D> ) and edit the link to whatever you wish as long as the path points to the program or shortcut link to the program. e.g. |

Janeway: try omitting the second occurrence of the missed call plugin then test it
cant see too much wrong with the coding  there is one reason that I can think of but it's too silly to mention so try the above first, if you still have problems PM me. |

QUOTE I presume he means that it animates the choice of inbox to internet explorer etc, i think the different background images are to show that it works with any background? Am i wrong? Not wrong, Absolutely right! It does not cycle the backgrounds, the image (as Brody kindly points out) is just a demo image to show how it may appear with different background images. PS. Updated the first post with install files |

QUOTE I think I may have missed something here.
I have installed Callface beta 4 and it works. Using your skin, when I go to the CallFace option on the main screen, I find it goes to Internet Explorer then comes back with "alert The page you are looking for can't be found". Any suggestions? Should have read other posts. You need the CallFace plug in. Which brings me to another problem. Got the Help file etc and pictures of your girlfriends and the Simpsons. However............ When I copy the 2 HTML files over to my PC, I only get the pictures - no text if I try to edit it with Word. With Notepad, I get crap. Any advice? Callface beta 4  ....... only ever done one version. This was posted on the Callface thread in software but i'll put it here too, hope it helps. If you are having problems with Word use Wordpad Editing 1. Activesync to phone. 2. Explore Storage Cardcallface. 3. Copy 'callface.htm' to somewhere on your PC. 4. Open Word or Wordpad (not Notepad or it'll look a mess) on your PC 5. Select 'Files of type' to 'All Documents (*.*)' File > open find the 'callface.htm' you just copied and open it You should now be looking at the source. 7. Look at all the bits between 8. Enter your own contacts tel no's and images where shown Images You will need to create/edit resize some images For 9 faces to display on a callface sceen, images should be 57 x 57 pixels You can also have 16 images (shown below) For 16 faces, images should be 43x43 pixels Once you are done editing copy back all the files back to Storage Cardcallface directory. |

sorry its a bit late
Extra screens for this theme (can also be used with SXP & SXPplus) Nothing spectacular, keeping the smartphones basic images, just adding a themed background. Instructions: Copy images from the zip to somewhere on your phone (eg 'IPSM' directory) fire up PHM Reg editor and alter the following: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESoftwareMicrosoftShellRai:ErrorBox {Values} BKBitmapFile from Windowsyell.gif to : IPSMyell.gif HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESoftwareMicrosoftShellRai:ExclamationBox {Values} BKBitmapFile from Windowsyell.gif to : IPSMyell.gif HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESoftwareMicrosoftShellRai:InformationBox {Values} BKBitmapFile from Windowsinfo.gif to : IPSMinfo.gif HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESoftwareMicrosoftShellRai:QuestionBox {Values} BKBitmapFile from Windowsques.gif to : IPSMques.gif HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESoftwareMicrosoftShellRai:VolDlg {Values} BKBitmapFile from Windowsvolume.gif to : IPSMvolume.gif I personally do not like cab's tinkering with the registry so I have not created one. |

QUOTE Í'm sorry  But I foud already what I did wrong I did not restart my phone. Ater I did that it worked perfect. The only thing is that I still see behind the popup screen the origional screen of the SPV Is that how it is or not? Hmmm...what popup  anyway not right, depending on which version you downloaded, if it was the original, you should have the same background as shown in the first post, make sure you have the image file 'sxp2_callface.gif' in the callface folder, if it is there, edit callface.htm and check the bit that reads is there as shown above. If you have gradiation's version, you need to set image in the admin page, and make sure the image file is in the callface folder (I think  ). |

Don't quite understand why it does not want to install for some of you so below I have attached manual install files. In settings select 'SXP2' as Layout, leave Colour scheme & Background image to 'Default' Will have another look at the cab tonight |
