The reason I post the topic was I could not get the answer, I keep getting incorrect version sort of error, and that is why I went the extra mile to include other more information to get help, as I was told there is always solution in Modaco forum Any help will be appreciated for me to get my samsung working As I Said read a little before asking anwered questions.... your question has been answered if you couldn't get the answer it's because you didn't read enough (and it seems very easy to me to find what post should you read in order to find your answer...). Have you taken the time to read the post "Samsung SGH-i600 - Firmware Updates here?", The answer is no, because in that post is perfectly explained how to upgrade from WM5 to WM6. My i600 is spanish -there is no official upgrade from spanish ROM as there aren't english- and I didn't spent more than two and half hours since i received the mobile, found ModaCo page via Google, found the exact post -it wa the easiest part- and had my i600 upgraded. And as I said the only thing i did was reading for a little while. |

The first step is as easy as starting to read a little. You have various posts in this forum explaining how to make the upgrade to WM6, so take a little time to read and ask any question you have after reading the procedure. |

mmmmm I don't usually watch the icon of WIFI network, but the "wireless admin"??? I'm from Spain and i don't know how is the exact name of the menu that says to me if i'm connected to any network (first line says if wifi is activated and the network where you are attached). Later in PIE configuration I allways need to select menu >> Tools >> Options >> Conections and select Detect Configuration automatically (or the exact name that it can be in English ROM) if i don't select this ption, PIE allways try to connect to WAP network (the best it can find GPRS, UMTS or HDSPA), but if I'm connected to my WIFI router and make that option selected, then it uses WIFI conection. I should add that if I mark this option, then PIE is unable to connect to WAP network even if my WIFI connection is down, so If I have to connect and i don't have WIFI connection in that moment i must unmark the option in orderto achieve the i600 get connected to internet. TTN6 on i600 don't work. I use TTN5.20 and work Fine ! Bye TTN6 works perfectly, I'm running it in my i600 without any problem, ITTN6 is originally designed to PPC and there are some screens that need to be pointed as in a touch screen, but you can press this points using programs like fakecursor that draws a cursor that you can move and make the selections you can need. Better for me is TomTom6 But i haven't used it for a long time (I have my samsung i600 only since las thursday) so my opinion is based upon my experiences with tomtom in other previous devices (PPC and N70) that seemed to me a lot better than Route 66 |
