Has anyone managed to procure an adapter that works? The silly bud type of headphones fall out of my ears! Tony. |

Found that the original dll was sitting in the Windows directory, strangely. Manually copied the new dll over the top of it & it is fine! Excellent. Surperb. Fantastic. Or, to put it another way, I think it is really rather nifty! Tony. |

Bretto, Having tried removing / reloading / restarting in every way possible, it only puts the four bmp files in the PPCProfilesPro folder - no exe, no dll! Unfortunately, I have not got a registry editor so I cannot see what is going on in there but does seem to not be installing the exe / dll files, for some strange reason. Tony. |

Excellent little utility - purchased 1.09 at the weekend; then found this thread. I uninstalled the registered version (after turning it off under the Today setup) & then downloaded the Cab file - whilkst it seemed to install without any problems, it does not appear in the Today screen or as an option in the Today setup. Any ideas? Tony. On an SPV2000, by the way! |

Thank you for your comment - I thought I would try the spare battery last night and, low & behold, I have not had one drop out since! What I will do tomorrow is swap the batteries back over and see if it is replicable - if so, then it is consistent with the battery. Wierd but I suppose it is possible that there is a dodgy connection inside the battery itself. Tony. |

For the last week, my M2000 has taken to turning itself off on its own - sometimes 5 - 10 times a day. Any one else had this? I have the Orange cover - do they send out another one? Does any one know if I will be without it whilst it is mended? I have grown so used to it I think I will suffer big withdrawl symptons without it!! Tony |

Apologies for resurrecting this thread, but did anyone get anywhere in seeing if Orange does provide the sms gateway? All set up, no problem; can see the special emails leaving the server but get a bounce back as below. Any ideas? Yes - just ran the cab on the phone, soft -reset & away.
Also on the xda developers’ forum you will find a more normal 'blue' skin rather than the awful T-Mobile one. And it works just like my old E200; type in letters of the surname and the list quickly reduces down. This is probably one of the biggest 'must have' additions (together with SBP+, mGALSync and 1-calc (great calculator, makes the inbuilt one look very amateurish)). Just miss WM10 on the Dell. Could not get on with any of the 3rd party players and WM9 just does not manage playlists in a reasonable fashion (compared to WM10!) Tony. |

If only they hadn't attempted to deliver to the wrong address, I would be busy playing rather than dreaming!!
Good to hear that it comes with two batteries. I shall need to get hold of a second cradle for home. Ideally I would want a cradle for loading programmes etc at work & a second at home for charging the spare battery for when I spend the day out and about. Anyone want an Axim 30H with two cradles, batteries, etc?! Tony. |

Absolutely right - as I posted elsewhere -
"Phoned Orange up this morning to enquire for an upgrade (not due until 5th December, so pretty soon). They confirmed that I was not entitled to one & that they could not do anything about it. And when my time came it would be £249. So I told them that I actually wanted a black one from O2 anyway & could they transfer me to their cancellations. After being transferred to someone else to cancel, I have a free upgrade being delivered tomorrow / Fri!" They tried to deliver this morning but went to the wrong address and got refused! Got to wait til tomorrow now! Tony. |

Does anyone know what the availability of the XDAIIs is from O2? It SEEMS to be available from the O2 website, but has anyone actually got hold of one?
My Contract is up the end of Nov & would not have any problems in switching to O2? Tony. |

Just spoke to Orange & they confirmed that it had been tested by a number of corporate clients & the feedback was such that they have a large order for delivery 'within two weeks'.
Unfortunately my Contract is not up until 5th December & will not bend the rules for the two weeks remaining - in spite of the fact that I would be adding two additional C500's to my account! Looks like I shall just have to wait! |

Goodness - that looks so tempting. How does it interact with a BT Headset? Are the instructions fed through to it; does full phone functionality still work (especially through the BT Headset - insofar as it works on a E200!)?

After all the time I have had my phone I have never tried other homescreens but this is very good indeed!
The only slight problem I seem to have is all the texts seem to have turned grey - is this by design? Is it possible to turn them back to black? Excellent otherwise! |

Paul,
The critical phrase is "AirNotifyDeviceInfo.xml" The log will obviously be full of Activesync confirmations that will exist whether it is generated by a timed, manual or AUTD sync process. Tony. |

Paul,
Assuming the Server is set up to log activesync activity (IIS / Web Sites / Default Website / Properties), it should be in a directory similar to: C:WINDOWSsystem32LogFilesW3SVC1 Tony |

Paul,
Can you check the server logs - if it is activating wireless sync you should see a message such as: "2004-06-01 13:50:37 W3SVC1 [servername] [server I.P] GET /exchange-oma/[username]/NON_IPM_SUBTREE/Microsoft-Server-ActiveSync/AirNotifyDeviceInfo.xml - 80 [domain][username] [i.p] HTTP/1.1 Microsoft-Server-ActiveSync-v2.0/2.0.3274.0 - - mail.[domain].com 200 0 0 1545 3851 15" Items in square brackets substituted to protect the guilty! Tony. |

Paul,
we use the Server ActiveSync facility with four E200's at work and - without fail - the up to date feature does not work. When the server receives an email it may notify the phone at which point the phone connects. However, when the next email is delivered, either the Sever does not send out a notification or the phone does not recognise the request to sync. However, if one syncs manually at this point, the process is reset and - then the next message it recognises, connects & it all starts again until the second message! We gave up trying to get it working and set the phones to connect every 10 mins during working hours. Tony. |
