Hey all,

When I originally signed up and installed this app, I was primarily interested in the sweepstakes. At the time (December 2006), the prize mentioned was a Microsoft Zune. The website now lists a 40" LCD TV instead! What happened to the Zune?! Also, reading the sweepstakes rules, it says that the prize must be picked up by Septempber 4 or it will be forfeited. Winner is responsible for shipping costs! Since it seems like this is based in the UK, if I win I'd be paying international shipping on a 40" TV?!

That seems to negate the sweepstakes completely. I did, however, get my check for $15.

Oh well... I just felt a little bit disgruntled about the whole sweepstakes thing. I was really interested in the Zune!!

Ah, crap... I was afraid that may be the case after spending a few minutes cleaning up various files on the card and still coming up 200M short. I guess that means I'll have to download all the various apps I have installed on the card all over again...

Oh the joys of using a Microsoft product!

Ok, so I was trying to copy a movie to my storage card. I connected the phone to the computer and selected explore from ActiveSync. I dragged the .avi file from my computer to \Storage Card\My Documents\My Videos folder on the phone. It acts like it's copying and it displays a progress bar. After a minute or two, the progress bar just starts over from the beginning and it never copies the movie. Eventually, I just hit the cancel button.

So, I launch WMP on my computer and try to use that to sync the movie to the phone. It gets 6% complete and just hangs up! So, I cancel that too and unplug the phone and power cycle it to start fresh. When the phone comes back on, I notice the it's only showing 150M free on my card. Before I started, I had 350M free. So I'm thinking it must have copied the movie after all!

Much to my dismay, I can't find the movie anywhere on the card! What happened to the missing 200M? Anybody ever seen anything like that before? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated...

Here's a theme I created based on my favorite clothing line: Ecko! The theme includes the XML layout, a homescreen wallpaper, and several other screens (start menu, volume, warning, etc). You'll have to use a registry editor to setup the other screens, though. I don't feel comfortable with CAB files! Sorry...

This theme makes use of the following plugins:

• Facace 1.2
• Smart Monitor

The photo contacts will require you to create 40x40 images of your contacts. It doesn't matter where you put them on your phone, but you'll have to edit the XML file accordingly.

Unzip these files to the Application DataHome directory on your phone and enjoy!

Man, this is great. I'd love to incorporate it into my homescreen! Problem is that I don't have 40 pixels available (that's a lot!)...

A couple of things I'd love to see:
1) Ability to specify plugin height in the xml
2) Ability to utilize user defined icons
3) Ability to specify x/y offsets in xml

I'm a programmer, so I'd love to take a look at the source -- if you don't mind. Perhaps I could contribute by adding the above capabilities. Although I've never done anything for WM before, this would be a great opportunity to learn something new!

Alright, I had a few days to add a few things to my BMW theme. Here's a glimpse of some of the goodies:


I've changed the background for the start menu and added background images for: volume, call alert, info alert, question alert, and error alert.

This theme requires the use of:
* Facade
* Smart monitor

I also packaged this up into a CAB file:
 bmw.CAB ( 268.37K ) Number of downloads: 114


This should copy all the files to the correct locations on your phone and make the necessary registry tweaks. This being my first CAB file, use at your own risk! I assume no responsibility for any problems that may result. It works on my Cingular 2125, that's all I'll guarantee.

Hey all,

My first attempt at a home screen... This BMW theme includes a home screen background and layout, a color scheme (embedded in the layout), and a start menu background. It makes use of the Facade plugin and the SmartMonitor plugin. Here are a couple of screen shots:

I don't know how to do the CAB files. So, to use the start menu background, you'll have to use a registry editor.
