I just find it hard to understand why no one had looked at recongifuring this emu to work with landscape phones...in landscape mode. I mean these games were originally designed to be played on a screen which is 4:3 and not 3:4. Not to mention that snes9x as well as other PC versions of the snes emu play with a 4:3 aspect ratio. Since the landscape phone is of a 4:3 aspect you'd think it wouldnt be that difficult for a programmer to come out with a version that works with the landscape variety of phones. I understand emus such as mame that use the portrait orientation for older games that were made for the 3:4 aspect such as pacman, ms. pac-man and dig-dug but with game originally played on HOME Televisions with the 4:3 aspect i find that after all this time ...a fix (or at least a landscape friendly version) isn't available yet. Especially since the pocket nester plus emu has been solved for the landscape variety of phones |

Hmmmm. i changed the GPRS setting to "0" and i don't get the prompt, but now after i get the "g" indicating that the grps is on, once i type in a web address or select a bookmark to go to, i get a network problem error. any suggestions??? Also i noticed that if i already have a GPRS connection established,,such as opening PIE first, then going to opera, i dont get the error. So it seems as though by changing the GPRS setting to "0", it doesnt open a GPRS connection. which is why i think it is getting a network problem error. But if another program has already opened up a GPRS connection, Opera understands that there is already a connection established and connects fine. So i guess, back to the drawing board BTW....if anyone would like to know that version of opera i'm running. It's opera 8.0 build 1557, and i'm running it on a T-mobile SDA (USA) using an i-mate sp5m rom |

Does anyone know if there is a hack for this new version of voice command to send the function to your bluetooth headset that will work for smartphones? Not the Wizard or MDA....... but the SDA, I-mate sp5/sp5m or Qtek 8300 series of smartphones. I noticed that there are some reg hacks to bypass the voicedial on the other devices, but i don't see anything for these smartphones. I can get the voice command to engage by holding the comm manager button down for 3 seconds (using the record option for button config on the setup screen) but i still have to speak into the phone. Anyone have anything on whether there is a fix or hack regarding this issue??? |

Does anyone know how to get opera mobile 8 to automatically connect? Everytime i start the program for the first time and try to access a website it first asks me "Connect to the Internet?" I'd like to be able to just load the program and access the 'net without it asking me if i want to. I know it's a little bit of nitpicking, but thats what this forum is for. I mean PIE will start and access whatever page I want without asking me if i want to connect to it. (even though PIE absolutely sucks!) So why can't Opera Mobile 8 do it too??? I've looked at the opera.ini file and have tried to make some changes but no dice. The only thing that i've been able to accomplish by tweaking the opera.ini file is to get scrollbars on the side. Any help would be great!! |

cool. thanks for the info. i'd still like to have one color scheme that's black, but fomr what you said, the fact that their has to be a gradient fill for 2 colors, it doesnt seem that absolute black would not be possible. Or is it??? |

Thanks for the file! This is what i was looking all over the net for. I didnt want an entire "theme" just a color scheme option. I still would like to know if you can do a JET BLACK or just black and a dark red (if it's possible) or even if you didnt want to do that, you could post the instructions on how to create a color scheme.. Anyway, thanks again. |

I never said that it didnt completely work. I said it didnt work for me. Secondly, you do agree that the 4.99 plan does have some limitations, wheras the 19.99 blackberry data plan doesnt |

In case anyone is still reading info on this topic. I have not been successful with the 4.99/5.99 T-Zones plan for my SDA. However, you can still manipulate the system just a little but. You can use the 19.99 blackberry data plan and it does work and doesnt require any different configurations. What you do is log onto www.tmobile.com change your device to show a blackberry phone, then change your services from the 29.99 data plan , to the 19.99 blackberry data plan, and that's it! See, tmobile's breakdown of the 29.99 plan is 15.00 for the data and 14.99 for the tmobile hotspot but they say they cannot split them up. Since the blackberry phones don't have wi-fi, they only charge 19.99 for their data plan. Hope this helps! |

OK this may be the wrong thread for this and when it comes to homescreen mods, i'm a total noob. But does anyone know just the simple code to change your color scheme on the home screen? the only ones i have are a reddish and a pink menu bar colors. I'd like to have navy blue and black as well as a few others. Are there any programs or any help that u can offer towards maybe modifying some existing file and renaming it to make different color schemes? BTW if you need to know, I have an SDA USA with WM5 QVGA screen. What i'm wanting is a quick menu bar color edit without having to change the entire layout of my homepage |
