WOW, just what i've been waiting for! Was just about to give in and get an S730 but think i'll hold out for this. Just hope they've sorted out that memory issue that plagued the S730 Just having a look at the full spec on the HTC site; 528mhz processor sounds very nice indeed! As does the 256mb rom and 256mb ram-can't wait to get my hands on one of these |

Just an update on this. I tried Route 66 and had serious problems with it which I mentioned in another thread (the installation insisted on formatting the memory card-when I did this it made the card unreadable). Contacted Route 66 who denied all knowledge of the problem and assured me it was impossible for it to have anything to do with their software. Interestingly I was just searching for info on Route 66 Mobile 8 and in one of the reviews they mentioned the formatting memory card problem I had on the old version. In the review was a quote from a Route 66 employee who said this problem had been solved in the new version. This being the same problem which when I contacted them about they assured me '110%' it was physcially impossible for their software to damage a memory card. I knew I wouldn't be the only person who had that problem but no, Route 66 assured me they'd never had a single similar issue (this was only about 6 months ago so the software had been out for some time). Never again am I buying Route 66 software, it's already cost me far too much and I never even got it working! Think i'll just get Copilot Live instead-bit more expensive but I guess you get what you pay for in the end. Thanks for all the replies guys |

It comes with a new back cover and sticks out a bit, but doesn't really disturb. And meanwhile I would not want to be without it again. Even on heavy use I recharge max. every 3 days, that is soooooo cool. |

I actually had the same problem with the original batteries, no matter what I tried. Then I bought a high capacity 2000 mAh battery on Ebay and since then I am amazed how long my Vox can run without recharging. Even with calls, internet, listening music half of the day via stereo bluetooth it lasts AT LEAST 3 full days, most often longer. Might just have a look into that then. Is it one of those ones that sticks out from the back of the phone and needs its own battery cover to accomodate the size? And if so, do you actually notice this or is it pretty minor? |

Thanks for the suggestion dheerajk27. I can't speak for the original poster in this thread but for me, yes i'm sure it's not a new application running in the background. Thanks though, at least it's one thing I can cross of the list |

Been using Yahoo Go pretty much since day 1 and decided to give version 3.0 a go this afternoon and I have to say i'm very impressed. Quite a few changes from the last release and all of them good so far. Firstly the appearance is much better, I especially like the fact that you can go round the carousel and get a preview from each section without having to individually open each one. The best feature though has to be the addition of the widgets, i've put wikipedia and e-bay on so far and they're both great; easy to use, quick loading and saves alot of time vs opening up pocket i.e. Well worth a download |

There have been no rom updates for the s730 as yet and I've had no issues so am unsure of the low space issue you mention? M.S http://www.modaco.com/content/htc-wings-wi...emory-problems/ That's the thread that I was mainly referring to, though maybe this has been fixed I don't know. Anyway, not that it matters, me being unable to receive 3G is the main reason I won't be upgrading to an S730. Think I best let this thread get back on track now, apologies. And thanks for the info MS |

Thanks for the reply Mysertious Stranger. I'm not too sure about the clock speed, never checked anything like that but i'll have a look into it later. Any ideas what would cause a 'CPU / crystal oscillator issue', or how to fix it? R.E the S730, I should probably have explained it's not really a good enough upgrade for me beacuse the main feature seems to be 3G data and sadly I don't live in an area where i'll get 3G signal |

I used to get very good battery life, but suddenly since last week it seems to drain quickly lasting only around 16 hours from a full charge despite Wifi, Bluetooth and GPRS all off, good phone signal and no imcoming or outgoing calls. Thought battery must be getting old so replaced with new battery but exactly the same problem. Does anybody have any ideas? I want to hang on to this 710 if I can until the Raphael/Tytn3/Touch Pro is available in the UK, probably another 3 months or so. Many thanks I have the same problem. Hadn't really given it too much thought as I just assumed it was time for a battery replacement but after reading this thread i'm not so sure anymore. Loftup, do you find your clock is running slow as well? In answer to the reply, i'm not aware that my phone has been wet or damp recently and I haven't noticed the battery getting any warmer than usual. On a similar note, does anyone know when HTC are releasing a new smartphone? I want a traditional numerical keypad rather than the touch style controls but haven't seen anything matching this from HTC |

Another genius idea from Orange. You'd of thought they'd lost enough customers to t-mobile already but seems they haven't quite finished yet. When will they learn? All this promotion will do is push even more people away from Orange rather than get them to join up. Who in their right mind would pay for something which is not only free, but should actually be on the phone anyway? So all Orange have done is remove the software, stick their name in front of it and now want money for the luxury? They could've at least designed their own software rather than just so blatantly try to charge us for something which is free. It seems clear that Orange presume all of their customers are complete cretins who will pay whatever they ask even though most networks offer not only far better deals but certainly better customer service. So congratulations Orange, another complete balls up. I wish these people would go out of business for the shameful way they treat customers |

Hey, Just found this website trying to find out how to read my hotmail email on my SPV E650. I've looked around but can't seem to find anything. Don't hate me if there is something around! I realise that Orange don't put Windows Live or Pocket MSN on the E650, is there anyway I can get them? Can you not just go to www.hotmail.co.uk? Or just google hotmail from your phone and it should find something, i've certainly done it before just can't remember what exact address it was. |

Take a look here Hi, thanks for the link. However, that seems to be just for T9, I was after everything in Norwegian i.e the phone menus etc. Sorry, I probably should've made that clearer in my initial post! Does anyone have any ideas at all on how this may be possible? |

Seem to be a few problems with this software...just to add another to the list, I get the following message when trying to open the program ERROR An unexpected error has occurred in WeFi.exe. Select quit and then restart this program (which i've obviously tried), or select details for more information. (The details page shows the message below again as well as 'at Microsoft.AGL.Common.MISC.HandleAr() at System.Windows.Forms.MessageBox.Show() at WeFiEngine.CrashReport() at WeFi.WeFiApp.Main()' An error message cannot be displayed becuase an optional resource assembly containing it cannot be found. Anyone have any ideas? Maybe it's something i've done rather than the software.. |

Cheers for finding this Paul I've tried a few similar programmes before and they've been pretty poor so wasn't holding out too much hope for this. Decided as it was free it was definitely worth a try and it's great. Previous software i've used has just made the vidoes really poor quality, or made them freeze every few seconds. Not had any of these issues with Aplus, really good product and one i'd probably actually pay for if it hadn't been free. Thanks again |

This is going back a while (12 months or so since I switched to T-Mobile) but I used to get all kinds of weird problems with Orange and it's 'safeguard' feature. Sometimes it would block out all racing and betting sites, sometimes it wouldn't. Switching the phone off and on again seemed to have some effect but I don't see how it could really, maybe it was just coincidence. Also, sometimes it would just block out perfectly innocent sites as seems to be the case in this example. I didn't realise this was still an issue a year later... |

Ok tried port 6 and still no joy using either Google maps or Live Search, just keeps saying it couldn't connect. Anyone have any ideas other than the comm port that could be causing this? |

WTFH Advice of the Week : Dont EVER by SANDISK memory from Ebay ... unless you are happy buying dodgy fake stuff! Mobymemory mobilefun etc They are fine, just avoid ebay for Sandisk products. Would this work in the Vox? Can't remember where I got this from but I seem to recall something about an 8gb limit? Or did I just hear this when the largest card available was 8gb? |

Bought myself a gps receiver a few months back, worked fine until I either installed the rom update or dropped the gps, don't know which of those caused it to stop working. Don't think it was dropping the gps as it was a very minor drop, but then I wouldn't have thought installing the rom update would have messed it up either. First thing I decided to mess around with was the comm port settings and now i've forgotten which one the default setting was. Anyone have the answer? Cheers in advance |
