Just had a thought today, PDAs would lend themselves very well to the likes of Theme Park World or Theme Hospital. I think these games would be ideal for PDAs as they are not graphics intensive and the likes of Theme Hospital was relatively simple and would probably work well.

After a bit of googling I can't find anything like this so I am just wondering if anyone else has discovered a game like this?

Thanks

This is what your after. Its a Vodafone 3G router, plug in a 3G card and away you go. It used to be available from Voda direct with the card but I can't see it on their website.

Obviously using a 3G card you all share the 3G's bandwidth which will be dependant on location and reception. I use a 3G card in my work tablet and the bandwidth can be limiting at times and thats me using it on my own.

I have noticed that the font size used on the Diamond seems to be bigger than what I had on my Trinity or Charmer. To give a few example's the writing on the today screen (i've turned off TouchFlo) is bigger meaning I can't see as many upcoming appointments. I can view 8 e-mails in one screen on the Trinity and only 6 on the Diamond.

Is there a setting somewhere I can change this to the old default?

Thanks

I have a cab file which sets up all of my e-mail settings (which has worked well for a year or so), one of the accounts it sets up is for my e-mail which comes from my domain. Since yesterday I can't delete e-mails on this account. I delete them then send and recieve and they come back. The phone is set to delete messages off the server when deleted on the device and its a POP3 account, it's starting to get annoying as 11 spam messages keep reappearing mad.gif If I open Outlook on my PC and dlete them they stay deleted so I figure its something the Diamond is doing.

Anyone got any ideas how to fix it?

I am running the offical Dopod WM6 ROM on my Orange M700 with the latest radio ROM but I am finding after using it for a while (few months) after a hard reset I have delays getting my texts. If I switch it off and back on it seems to resolve it for a day or two but its not a practical solution.

Anyone else experiencing this? If so has anyone found a way to fix it without hard resetting? I have having to re-install all my programs every few months.

This has happened to my device, it seems to lose e-mail accounts, GPRS settings and WiFi details when I soft reset.

Think its a problem with the WM6 ROM.

I'm about to buy a 8gb MicroSD and Micro to Mini SD adaptor for my P3600 as I am missing not having music on my phone so now I am looking for an adaptor so I can plug regular 3.5mm headphones into my P3600.

I am going to buy the official 11pin to 5pin +3.5mm adaptor for in the car so I can charge and connect the phone to the aux input but I am wondering what peoples experiences are for the smaller unofficial 11pin to 3.5mm adaptors. The reason for looking for a smaller one is for when I am out and its in my pocket, the HTC ones look a bit bulky in the pictures but I have never seen them in real life.

I was looking at the ORA adaptor on Expansys but there are a few comments from people saying these break easily so hence the post to get peoples experiences. I have seen some little box type ones on eBay that have no cable, these look quite good but I wonder about the quality of them.

I would rather use the bulky HTC ones rather than a small adaptor which has poor audio quality.

Thanks smile.gif

Our company Windows Mobile devices are going to be configured to access our network via WiFi and also through Vodafone and an IPSec tunnel. Due to this our security guys have been asking about what we can do to enforce the use of AlphaNumberic passwords and the like. Unfortunately we don't run in an Exchange environment so we don't have the admin options via that route so I wonder if anyone can point me in the direction of what can be configured locally on the device? I had a google but didn't manage to unearth much.

Thanks

At work we are mainly a Novell setup so we have a Juniper box which we use for different authentication methods such as SSL VPN's. We are now using it for our wireless network authentication and due to our setup we use Odyssey Access Client on laptops and PDAs to control the wireless. We have managed to install Odyssey and get it working on a pair of Kaiser's we have on loan from Vodafone but we are trying to set it up on Symbol MC70's. The one thing we are missing on these devices is Comm Manager, on the Kaisers we went in and turned wireless on but Comm Manager does exist on the Symbol devices or I can't find it.

Basically Odyssey connects to the network and we can ping the devices but whenever we try to browse through PIE it says that the it cannot connect through the current connection settings. Does anyone know where I could basically tell WM to use the wireless?

We use GroupWise at work as well and we use some other software if your struggling with Intellisync. We use OneBridge and GWAnywhere but the company who sell this are withdrawing support as of March 09, the reason for this is Novell are now providing a better alternative. If its for a corporate soloution you can use Novell Mobile Server which is basically Intellisync from what I have heard but should work better with GroupWise as its been specifically designed for it, I believe this supports push.

If its just you you can use GroupWise PDA Connect which was their previous soloution before Mobile Server which you can find here.

Never used Intellisync myself so I'm afraid I can't help more with it.

I hope this helps.

I have to agree with what mwright has said, I thought Yahoo Go 1.0 was a very useful application and it integrated nicely with the OS. I was constantly checking to see when 2.0 would be released as I thought it would have some good improvements. Unfortunately I uninstalled it within 24 hours, I install everything to the SD card that I can to minimize whats installed on the internal memory which probably caused it to be slow. I found the e-mails never seemed to sync unless I forced it, even then it wasn't as up to date as the webpage, and neither did the calendar, in fact not sure what/why it did it but it caused a lot of business appointments to disappear.

Needless to say I haven't gone back to it, all I wanted was a simple e-mail and calendar sync which version 1.0 handled very well, this offers features I have other specific applications for which are generally better designed for that purpose.

This sounds an awesome utility with enough support from the vendors!

One thing I was thinking is, would it be possible to set the program to only check and download updates when connected via ActiveSync? Not an issue for me but I think it would be good for people without Web 'n' Walk.

Also would it be possible to export the xml files? The reason being this could be an excellent way to rebuild a device from scratch! Install App2Date then import the xml files and let it automatically goes away and downloads all the apps you use, this could save us all a lot of time.

Just my 2p smile.gif

Looks like it'll be an awesome app!
