I had this with Miomap after upgrading to 6.1 Turned out to be a conflict with HTC Home plugin. Try disabling this, do soft reset and, if it works, find out which item (s) in the plugin are causing the problem. With me it was the weather. Also use KaiserTweak to make sure autoGPS is off.

How did you disable just the weather?

I have used tomtom for years and though I would have a change for a while.
A mate of mine has been using iGo Nav N Go 8 and I have installed it on the kaiser but for some reason it installs fine then straight after I click on the program it's self to open it and it fails with no error messages

I have tried re-installing etc but nothing works

Thanks
Graham

are you using the tomtom provided safety camera sservice, or downloading and inserting custom POIs for each one?

It's the custom database from gpspocketworld whatever it's called

If you're upgrading then why send the handset back?
It's yours, not theirs, so you can keep it.
If it has a different ROM on they might not be happy, but again it's your device so they can't exactly stop you.

If you're exchanging the handset (perhaps it's faulty or something) then they might want it back, in which case they might complain about the ROM but to be honest I'd just take the chance

I used to own the SPV3100 and a sales men told me the touch was better than the tytn and just as good as the tytn2, so phoned orange and complained and there sending me the tytn2 and want the touch back, I was going to say I didn't think I could return it so I tried to fix the memory errors......

IIRC you'll need to use an unsigned re-constructed rom from someone else's dump - flashing using a soft-spl type method - as there has never been a signed official orange rom available .

Check xda-developers. If the unit won't boot there isn't a lot you can do to flash it back. Unsigned roms on non-cid unlocked devices show up as 'corrupt rom images' and roms with a different CID simply won't flash.
M.S

Will they be annoyed if I just leave as is...... the phone is fine just upgrading to Tytn 2

Thanks

the first thing you need to install is Batterystatus Today plugin from here:
http://www.chi-tai.info/cs_BatteryStatus_X...o_WM5_iM_cs.htm

Then you can overclock it so that it doesn't constantly hang on you.

Depends on what kind of software you are after though - for example are you talking games, navigation, messaging, internet etc etc?

Personally, I'd suggest palringo for instant messaging, CoPilot for navigation, Opera Mini for the internet.

Hi,
My SPV 3100 went for a swim yesterday (i.e. my daughter spilt drink all over it)
No problems with the phone except the slide out keyboard has gone nuts like when you hit q it comes out with qwertyk "FLAP IT!"(it does not include the word flap it after qwertyk it's there to show how I feel), is there a way of fixing this or should I call Orange and deny all knowledge of everything and just say it's got a fault.

Thanks
Graham

I have had a M3100 for a while now and it's been ok, until now when I send a text message it sends and a person will receive it but I will get no confirmation and then about 20 mins later they will receive the same sms again and I will get confirmation.
This will happen up to 4 times.

I'm about to kill Orange but would like to know if it's Orange or the phone?

Thanks

But I still don't seem able to change the today screen backgrounds

Thanks for the replies with regards to Activesync I did a hard reset on the SPV and that sorted it
and I have e-mailed orange and they will get back to me within 1 week.

Once the phone is application unlocked does that mine I can have my own backgrounds?

Thanks

HI,
This is my first post.
I have just got my new SPV M3100 and I have a few issues:

1. Activesync won't work! it used to work and I have tried it on 2 pc's it will sync with my exchange server just not my pc.

2. I need to have an application unlock program as Orange don't seem to won't to help with that.

Any help would be great

Thanks
Graham
