They're saying what the CHIP can handle. It doesn't have an 8MP camera either, but I dodn't see people launching a class action about that? P From the HTCClassaction page, ""Some may look at this and say that it states it supports an 8MP camera as well, and this isn't included either. The difference here is that an 8 MP camera is not an integral part of the chipset, while the video hardware most definitely is. Furthermore, the devices' specifications say they come with an X MP camera (so obviously not with an 8 MP camera), but they don't say the devices come without these video capabilities. " |

- The Kaiser and other MSM devices have ATI Imageon in the core chip - HTC haven't implemented drivers to support this, so it's not used - HTC feel the overall device experience is acceptable, and as a whole they feel they have a great device - Some users feel the video performance is not acceptable I still do not believe the device was mis-sold, I still appreciate that development time has gone into other aspects of the software, I still hope it is improved in later software / hardware revisions but I still think the Kaiser is the best device I own / have ever owned, and am glad I spent my hard-earned on it. P The official press release from HTC certainly implies that their devices use these features of the Qualcomm chipset. And no where did they make a disclaimer that the devices would not use these features. If you promote a product based on claims that you do not make good on, that is illegal. Period. |

HTC DID promote these products based on the Qualcomm chips and their video acceleration, and this really is leading into an area of legaleeze. Here's an OFFICIAL press release from HTC: http://www.htc.com/press_room/03-press-070905.htm "HTC is the first company to introduce cutting-edge devices based on Qualcomm's latest dual-core chipsets, the Mobile Station Modem™ (MSM™) MSM7500™ and MSM7200™ solutions.....by the end of 2007, HTC will have launched more than 10 devices based on these two dual-core solutions from the Company’s MSM7xxx-series platform. Some of the devices already available include the Mogul by HTC, HTC 6800, HTC 5800 and HTC TyTN II.... The MSM7500 for CDMA2000® 1xEV-DO Rev. A and MSM7200 for HSPA also feature rich multimedia capabilities – such as VGA video encode/decode, 8 megapixel camera, and 3D graphics – as well as advanced data functionality with unsurpassed levels of integration. " So this really is becoming an issue. Beermaker |

Unless they address the SERIOUS DRIVER ISSUES, many people will be totally dissapointed in their new HTC phones. I am for sure, the Tilt has severe issues. Alemaker |

very strange...and the bj II is just the average landscape QVGA resolution right? i had another directories listed in my wmp11 thread, it's what worked on my smartphone. i assume you already tried it? \Storage Card\Storage\Microsoft\Media Player\Skins\ Don't know if this helps anyone but, on my ATT Tilt, it actually doesn't matter where I put the skins-the Tilt found them, I have them in a folder on my storage card. yes i forgot to mention, when setting up the skin, you must chose the skin in portrait mode, then you need to choose it again in landscape. as for the background, yes, i can make you a black background. Thx, now it works for both!! Patiently waiting on a black backround. Happy New Year!! Beermaker |

here it is! my first Pocket PC and Smartphone compatible windows media player skin! ![]() PPC installation Unzip, and copy folder to \Program Files\Windows Media Player SP installaion Unzip, and copy folder to \Storage Card\Storage\Microsoft\Media Player\Skins\ please report and bugs/graphical errors if any. enjoy! mikeey, It installed fine on my Tilt and portrait mode works great, however, when I slide the Tilt and it changes to landscape mode, your skin doesn't work, the original Tilt skin is shown. Also, just a personal preference but, could you possibly have an alternate one with no backround (IOW black) cuz when the album comes up, the green backround theme sorta makes it look funky. well.. you could try taking my "mikeeey's wmp11 fix v1.0.skn" and renaming it to "Standard" (the portrait one). then replace mine with the one that was there. make sure to backup the old "standard" file. you will also need to copy the rest of the files into thta same directory. im not sure if this will work for u though. o and the bmp's and gif's are in the windows folder, but they're hidden i believe.. Working GREAT on my Tilt! Check it out! Psst mikeeey- this is from my Tilt!

Hi, Have a teeny issue with the ATT Tilt Screensaver. Have the screensaver option checked in the pics and vids options-have pics on the phone, have a problem-after 2 minutes-it tries to start, then immediately goes back to the home screen, just like if you move a mouse on a regular pc. Immediately! Thought maybe it was my data connection,so I turned everything off-still the same issue. ATT tech support had no further info and told me to contact HTC, any help????? d'oh-figured it out today-did a hard reset without letting it do the ATT customizations and BINGO-screensaver works fine!
