Just to let you know the fix function works well, can read the messages now, but still leaves a question mark at the start, not a problem though. Like the change on screen rotation too. One thing I found though is that when i want to read a new message, i can't open it using the touch screen and have to use the action button, however then when the read, reply... screen appears i can't use the navigation keys but have to use the touch screen again. Bit annoying that have to keep changing between touching the screen and using the action key. Similarly when i first want to select a message to read I have to use the touch screen as the navigation key will not select a message. Hope that makes sense, if not let me know. |

I have tried the latest beta, the messages still appear to be strange, they have the first letter then ??. I received the file as a text and have attached the file. It views ok in windows but doesn't on the ppc based text viewers (Resco internal viewer and Tillanosoft notepad). Look forward to the screen autoswitching the resolution. |

I have been testing version 1.0.116 on the Vario and can now recieve messages, however they do not make much sense. I recieved a note from a N70 just saying 'hello' and it appears as '??H'. See attached. Also when i rotate the screen a box outline appears, only 240 wide not 320 and then a scroll bar appears down the side. See attached. As mentioned by others in previous posts it crashes when I cancel bluejacking. The 'send msg' and 'send file' does nothing on my device, worked fine in earlier beta's not sure when it stopped, but was a few versions back before going to RC, haven't been able to test every version. Hope this helps, look forward to a final release. |

I am testing this on the MDA Vario with a N70 and I can not seem to send or receive messages or files. I have no problem sending files over bluetooth in File Explorer. When I send a message or a file the N70 comes up saying file from xxx and then when i press accept nothing happens. The Vario is showing a busy icon and it doesn't do anything. There is no way to cancel the transfer so I have to kill the task (this would be a good option to have). I have tried this with version 0.8.57 and prior. When I send from the N70 it just keeps trying to establish connection and nothing happens on the Vario, no indication that it is trying to receive a message. I have 'receive incoming beam' disabled. Sniper seems to manage the bluetooth connection OK. Not sure what the problem is but would be grateful for some guidance. badboy4life |

I have done this on a homescreen that i have been designing. I've had to put it on hold for a while, might be able to finish it in the next two weeks or so!! You can just use virtual key presses. I'll post the code when i've finished. |

I have got this problem. I phoned HTC and they adviced me to do a Hard Reset, which should normally clear the problem. So hope this clears it for you mate!! Unfortunatly with mine, after about 5 Hard Resets it still won't go away!! More annoyingly the Bluetooth light keeps flashing!! HTC want £30 to look at it because its out of warranty!! |

AFAIK the status report has the phone number without the "+" infront of the 44 and as a result it does not pick up the phone number from your contacts. I don't think there is anything that can be done to change this, because it relates to what Orange is sending back. |

Most of these files are only 0b or 2b and can be deleted. Some of the larger files may contian email or mms information, but if you have deleted all these then you can delete them. For some reason these do not get deleted when you delete the messages. I don't think that these will be affecting ActiveSync. |

SIS files are install files for symbian and so can not be used on the C500. AFAIK the equivalent for the C500 is the CAB file. So yes you can only use EXE and CAB, and also HME for homescreens. |

I've tried having a play with the advanced search and the problem is that you have to enter a keyword. I don't know if there is a wildcard or something that will find all words. I can't think of a word that is at least four characters which will exist in all posts. O and Paul I found an problem with the smillies, the ? and the confused looking one next to it are both : ? : |

The best way to remove the extra screens is to remove the homescreen from Settings->Add/Remove Programs. If they aren't removed, then have a look HERE |

Basically I need someone who hasn't re-arranged their Start Menu and still has the shortcuts located where they were when first installed.
So if someone could tell me the location of these(below) relative to "StoragewindowsStart Menu...": -Smart Explorer -Task Manager -Orneta Notepad -Registry Editor -Beta Player -WMPlayer -Agile Messenger (Or would you prefer MSN Messenger?) Also if anyone has a suggestion for an eighth shortcut, that'd be nice  |
