Believe it or not, I'm still trying to get the darn software to work with my phone. Before getting back to Roboform I just wanted to know if anyone here as successfully installed the application on their C500? Thanks for letting me know. |

QUOTE(martin @ Mar 24 2005, 23:30) I tried to run the RoboFormForWMSP.exe file and it gave the error 'PPC.CAB failed to install on your device'. I guess they have attached the wrong cab file :| Roboform got back to me with the following information: "Do you have Compact dotNET Framework installed on your Smartphone? It is required for the smartphone version" So what does this mean? Do I need to download this software and install it on the C500? If yes, where can I find it? Any help is always appreciated. |

It works fine with the C500, even though it's not listed. However, it took me several (meaning at least 10 over the air and 10 using the utility Orange emailed me) until it was finally unlocked. I don't know which method finally worked, but it's done. So my advise is: keep on trying. |

Roboform http://www.roboform.com/, which in my opinion is simply the best desktop/mobile password and identity manager out there, has released a Smartphone version. However, it doesn't work with my C500. Has anyone managed to install and use it? |

This is driving me nuts! I've disabled the security settings (application unlock) of my C500 via an official Security Level Setting application received from Orange (after several over the air attempts). Still, I'm unable to access all files via my registry editor (PHM). All I'd like to do is change the long date settings in HKLM/nls/overrides so the day appears in my home screen, which currently is not possible since I don't have access to those keys/values. What can I do? Any ideas anyone? |

One more question, sorry. So is there a way to unhide files in the registry? Thanks, much. |

Understood. But so why, even after security disabling, I'm unable to see, let alone change parts of my registry? |

Ok, I finally received the security disable file directly from Orange. Ran it on my phone, received the confirmation that my phone is "security disabled". Yet, I can't access some of the files via my registry editor? Why is that? All I want to do is change my long date settings in HKLM/nls/overrides/SLDte but that value/key is simply not showing up? Any ideas? |

It's what is needed to access hidden files/folders with your registry editor, or, in this case, with Smartione http://metropical.free.fr/forum/index.php?showtopic=6 |

Did it 3 times. Received the confirmation that security has been disabled 3 times. Yet, I'm unable to run a program (securityOFF by metropical). It gives me the "...program cannot start because it is not digitally signed..." error message. Or is there another way to change the RAPI mode in order to change the date settings in the registry? |

All of a sudden (or rather after hard-resetting the phone), all-day events are not showing up on my C500 homescreen anymore, when using the Windows Default layout 'full.home.xml' (or any of the other 'basic' template). Only the default Orange layout 'OrangeHomescreen.home.xml' seems to recognize all-day events. I've added and moved several all-day events to different days, nada. I'd also say, that the code is correct: Does anyone have an idea why this is happening? |

Same here. Tried different SMTP settings but it hangs during "Sending and Receiving" and then, after about 2 minutes ends with an error message saying I should make sure that I have network coverage (which I have) and all settings are correct (they are). Called Orange. Apparently, it was the first time they heard about this error message, so they'll have to forward the issue to their technical team. I should hear back within maximum 10 days! 10 days? Are you kidding me? Anyway, if anyone has a clue what the problem could be, please let me know. |

QUOTE You can do this via the registry. Edit the key SLDte in HKLMnlsoverrides and change it to something like: ddd, dd MMM yy. This now displays on my homescreen Mon, 20 Sep 04. I have also changed the short display (SSDte) to 20 Sep 04 (d MMM yy) instead of 20/09/04.
HTH rekall But what if my registry editor (PHM) doesn't see the SLDte key in the registry? Do I need to application-unlock my phone? Or is there a way to reveal hidden files? Thanks for any help. |

QUOTE You have to change the icon size of the MRU to 16 in the xml to get that.
I'm using the full.home.xml screen, however, there's no icon size specified at all in the code? Does this mean I need to add the command? If so, where exactly? Thanks! |

Have not an answer but a question, sorry. Phone switches nicely to 'Meeting' when in 'Automatic' mode, however, doesn't switch back to 'Normal' after the appointment is over. That's how it supposed to be, or is something not working the way it should? Thanks. |

Thanks for the reply.
Nope. Nothing else connected to the USB ports (or any other port). According to Microsoft I should use an active USB hub, not a passive one. Have tried all of them (2), doesn't work. |

Greetings. Have bought the USB Hotsync and Charge Cable for the SPV from PDA Add Ons on eBay. While everything worked fine initially, am now getting a power surge error message from all of my USB ports when connecting the phone. With all other peripherals the ports work normal. Am running XP Pro. Happens when running on power or supply or battery. Has anyone experienced this as well, and more importantly, been able to solve the issue? Thanks, much. |
