It seems incredibly useful to me to be able to attach images to outlook images and tasks.

I tried doing this first on Outlook on my computer. After a bit of wrestling with Microsoft's `OMFG Security Risk!!1!' I was able to do this.

When I sync the item to my Smartphone, an S710 running WM6, the images get lost.

Anyone out there succeed in doing this?

Can you get it to hide when backlight turns on? I have the hide flag in my Power_On.lnk, but it still maximizes to TornadoPowerControl when the backlight turns on. Using version 2.0 Beta 4.

My notification still shows my msn email count. Any tips?

Forget it. I just want to be rid of MSN live from my vox. Any tips? I don't see it in my remove programs list. Argh!!!

Edit:

I went to "MS Live", then "Options" or something, then "Switch Accounts". Apparently this clears out everything it has done. Then, before accepting the terms of service, I just went to task switcher and killed it. That seems to have done the trick.

Install a registry editor, and delete the key '\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Inbox\Svc\Windows Live'.

Next time the messaging application is restarted, hey presto, it's gone biggrin.gif

Thanks for this.

I was already swearing up and down when the software insisted that I merge my MSN contacts with my other contacts.

Then, when it started doing that email sync WITHOUT ASKING PERMISSION, I almost lost it.

Why does Microsoft have to deliberately piss us off? I will not, I repeat will not, build my electronic communications network around their software (even though I may use MSN).

Anyways, this bump should help anyone else looking for this thread.

Edit:

My notification still shows my msn email count. Any tips?

er so does the s710 have a headset profile or not we all know the headsets work but how VC know to direct the button actions to the phone next time you connect headset to the phone have a look and see what profile is being used, then try it with setting the profile to a different one each time before you connect the headset see if it always changes to the same profile or if it just uses the one you have selected manually

Dunno what profile, but the icon I got looked like a little stereo headset with a mic.

if rumours are true WM6 doesn't have a headset profile...well some people are complaining about lack of it.

dunno if this is relevant, but I was at a friend's house recently and tried the Plantronics Pulsar headset. I tested it listening to music and making a phone call with my S710. Sound quality for the tunes was amazing, my friend said I sounded great through the phone.

Hi folks,

is there any way to use the regular calendar plugin, i.e. clsid="{865A354A-4A96-4687-B001-C155DC0DBE76}", and show the next two or three appointments?

Note 1: I did a search, didn't find any help, apologies if I missed something obvious.

Note 2: No, I'm not interested in Facade, thanks.

I am with you on the ExtUSB connection.

When my S710 came, I already had -- from old cameras and other gadgets -- numerous cables and plugins for syncing and charging already!

No more of this "buy a dodgy connector from ebay every few months that breaks".

I rather like the smaller application icons in the HTC theme.

I take it I can modify the theme .xml file to get this with the debranded theme?

If you have installed any "disable led" software, sometimes these also make the vibrate stop working. Try the vibrate after a hard reset if you have

I would very much like some free disable led software.

Any suggestions?

Edit: I created a short, silent .wav file that I called "Default.wav". I replaced the Default.wav in my windows directory on my S710.

Problem solved!

If mobileregistryeditor had a search function I would have gone through and disabled all references to this sound file (since playing a short, silent file uses more resources than not playing a file).

If anyone has the time or inclination to find references to Default.wav in your registry, please post!

----------------------------------------------------------------
I've turned off sounds for everything except alarm and ringer.

When browsing contacts, and holding up or down long enough to go to letter navigation, I get a loud beep when I let go of the up/down.

I have the WIFI beep also -- it sounds the same. The WIFI beep only seems to appear when it turns off or on due to sleep mode on or off.

Any suggestions out there?

I want to disable ALL my beeps!

The registry hack worked for me.

But, after a while, and without installing any new software, it changed back to 0.

Has anyone else had to do the registry hack multiple times without installing new software?

This is the first customization I always look for with a new WM phone.

I searched at xda-developers, but couldn't find led disable instructions for WM6.

Hope I haven't missed anything obvious in my searches.

Hi there,
there's a way to get this mobile phone for free (or for few money) with a contract but not with Orange?

thanks,

Expansys has free S710s with Vodafone and O2 (but probably won't ship for about two weeks).

you have to "apps unlock" your E650 and after TT6 will work. You'll have also to use fake cursor (see the thread "Apps that don't work...")

I am testing this solution on a Windows Mobile 6.0 emulator on my computer.

When I run fake cursor, all of the hardware keys stop responding. Is this normal? Does this happen on the Vox?

I'm thinking of ordering this for my Vox (which should be here by Monday at the latest).

The Dash screen has the same specs as the Vox one -- 2.4 inch, QVGA. Anyone know if the dimensions are exactly the same?

Your link claims that the branded E650 contains the A2DP profile, which, from what was reported here, is erroneous.

Anyone out there with an unbranded S710 that can test this? Paul?

Any word on whether this affects non-branded S710s? I thought A2DP was standard in the Windows Mobile bluetooth 2.0 stack.

I think you need to connect the first time with a wired connection and initiate activesync.

The next time it should work with bluetooth.

how's about a thread with photos snapped by the Vox so we can check out image quality?
