Ok so I performed the firmware upgrade when it was originally posted on XDA-Developers. I was formerly running the 3.08 Vodafone release - whatever that was in aid of - so have a little experience with 6.1 already. I have only been playing with it quickly but at the moment it does feel faster and boots significantly faster. I have just also basically undone the HardSPL as suggested on XDA, not because I had experienced issues but because it apparently fixes issues I might experience! I am using a v1615 but now using the stock Kaiser SPL. All I have done so far is change many of the options to the recommended in KaiserTweak installed and configured .NET3.5 and am looking at other bits now. But it does feel faster at the moment so hoping for the best. |

Thanks Paul, just installed this now and set 3.5 as the system default... I like the way it checks your device for .net applcations, all mine seemed to be set on default anyway so now it is time to see what happens |

Ok a few more bits - actually using the Vodafone ROM here and quite happy with it - as I have a Vodafone device anyway. So not using this ROM, however it is nice to be able to talk to a chef and not be screamed as a noob like xda-dev. This seems to be TLR Kaiser 3.08.02.21 but my ROM is 3.08.161.0 (which is higher?) with radio 1.64.08.21 - things are so hectic at XDA it is easy to miss official releases. Is this your ownnaming convention? Which OEM applications do HTC include specifically and are there any included that are out-of-date on the Vodafone ROM? I did compare the 3.03 and 3.08 HTC and Vodafone ROMs when they came out and did make the following observations. - Vodafone was missing Worldcard and Live Messenger - Vodafone had its own custom dialer and skin - Vodafone has its Business email stuff - Vodafone seems to have an older version of Task Manager - Misc images in both ROMs that I actively make an effort to delete anyway. - Vodafone doesn't seem to have the boot up animation, no great loss. |

Ok, I don't think that affects me. Paul is there a way to keep SMS sent notification but kill the noise? Always seems to stutter and sounds poor. |

Think of all the work they are putting in tho. I am sure there will be a lovely orange start bar when you first boot into Vista and they will have removed WMP and replaced it with their own player - that alone is worth the increase but there will be so much more! |

Got it on my Vodafone v1615 - running stock HTC rom (messenger didn't even come with the Vodafone one). Also left a message to some MS friends who might be able to get some information. |

Using the built in GPS on Kaiser. Everytime I start though it does look for bluetooth devices, which is a little odd. edit: Nevermind, rechecked the config and scrolled left a bit |

Done a little more work and managed to extract some Vodafone images from a Hermes ROM and it would appear to be the same image with the same dimensions. It also seems to have a MainSplash (as referenced from your NBH) and also a SubSplash -- not sure if that one is relevent to the Kaiser. Anyway, hopefully something can be done |
