Ok, some comments Ridge Racer - one of the gems of the PSP launch, screw real physics, this game is all about fun, and it has it in droves, lots of replay value until you actually complete it and unlock all secrets Lumines - Best puzzle game since Tetris, graphically not amazing (doesnt need to be, its a puzzle game), but the music and sound effects are awesome WipeOut Pure - Graphically the best game available at the moment (has some lovely bloom effects), forget the disaster that was WipeOut Fusion on the PS2, this is the best version of WipeOut yet, and SCEE keep adding to it with track, ship, skin and music(soon) downloads. Hot Shots Golf - My most played game at the moment, this game is totally addictive even if you dont like golf games (girlfriend borrowed my PSP and its all she played for 2 weeks, had a hard time getting the thing back off her |

of course soon you wont have any choice in upgrading cos games will REQUIRE the 2.0 update to actually run (even some films require the upgrade before you can watch them). Personally, I wanna play state of the art games not emulated ones, if i wanted to play emulated games i'd get a gamepark (or just use my PC) |

ms clamping down? on what? to be quite honest the info regarding magneto has been sketchy at best, MS need to start a euphoria regarding their devices, not stop people from posting small amounts of info. Who here feels that maybe PPC is the best way to go and that MS Smartphone is gonna be dead as a dodo within 2 yrs? or even, dare i say it, other OS's will beat MS in the Smartphone area? I'm an MS Smartphone fan, but over the past few months, MS Smartphone has been swallowed up by other tech. and without info regarding the next OS i cant help but look elsewhere for my next fix |

what the????? normally i dont comment on games (what with being a developer myself and all), but...... a game that costs $20 that doesnt have an installer????? you have to manually copy across the exe...oh dear then i see graphics that have had no attempt to be remade for the 176 x 220 display and instead are blocky and to be honest awfull, i know its common to add the phrase "Stunning 3D modeled and animated player models and environment " for marketing reasons, but when its like this then all you will get is bad publicity. and finally, why is it so awfully slow? i really dont think theres any excuse for developers making no effort to make each port of a game to each device as good as they can make it, this game could have been so much better with a little more effort |

they bought the rights to use the sound file on a ringtone (and prolly payed too little for it in the process) the thing is, it isnt so much the tone thats really annoying (well, it is), its that its put on at almost every ad break, and at least 2 times per ad break aswell. the creators know its annoying, but if it wasnt so annoying would it get this much publicity? its a master stroke if you ask me |

QUOTE(psykoptic @ Dec 31 2004, 04:06 PM) hmmm... like so many other people who have found it hard I didn't bother buying the full game as I couldn't get past level 1. I've tried to download the demo from http://smartphone.modaco.com/files/EclipseDemo.exe but I'm getting a 404. This is the link that comes from the Alien Invention website via this forum. Is there any other place I can download it? Or can the link be fixed? Thanks, and happy New Year by the way click on the handango link and download the demo from there i do need to edit that page, but i'm having problems with my FTP at the mo. |

QUOTE I do expect some bumps in the road when anything this complex is launched and the blame should be even spread around. Microsoft, Cingular and Motorola. MS for the issues in the BT stack, really why did they create a WMSP2003 SE was it really worth it. Cingular for the high and mighty changes they make that cause more issues and Moto for jumping the gun and thowing the baby out with the bath water. why did they create SE????? so they can have new screen resolutions and screen rotations. OK, no Smartphone has any new res yet, but it will happen (and is happening, 240 x 320 res Smartphone, lovely), and they want to keep both the PPCPE and Smartphone versions at the same version (for obvious reasons), the MPx would not exist if it wasnt for 2K3SE, and we wouldnt see screen rotation for webpage viewing on devices such as the JAM and M2000. 2K3SE is also a lot more stable than the old 2K3, and as far as BT stack issues, i cant see much wrong with the BT stack in the C500. |

volume cant be used on the c500's, as they'd coded it to only recognise up events, not down events (totally dumb i know), also, holding the volume still brings up apps for sound recorder/voice dial
we've looked around all sorts of possibilities, and well, it's just not do-able, or rather, not good enough to make the game play well. |

no, that isnt accurate cos it isnt an average result (only 1 result posted), if you get 4 or 5 with the same result then yeh, its accurate (but i doubt more people will post the same as that), and look at the post above, 414 from an sp3i |

hmmmm, they havent actually added their own logo though have they? surley all they have done is watermarked the image for their website (kinda like msmobiles does... if its held on his server its watermarked), and they dont actually say they've made them, read it properly and all they say is thay've compiled some (ie., gathered some, its just a daft way of wording it), its still very wrong of course, but just making sure the facts are correct. |

well, it would only work on game programmed to work with it of course, but technically it should be possible so long is it pairs correctly like all other BT devices.
i just posted that though to show that BT controllers DO exist. |
