Looks pretty nice, but I'm really gonna miss the hardware soft keys and the Windows/OK button and scroll wheel on this - having got so used to them on my Vario II & III. I like to use the buttonsa for pretty much everything rather than the touch screen. |

The interface is the point of this device! If you don't like it get a Touch Cruise! I know, but it's nice to be able to turn if off if you end up not liking it. I turned off the HTC Home plug-in on my Vario III after a day or two. It was hindering my productivity. |

Can you turn of the fancy dan interface and just have the default WM6 home screen if you wish? |

Aaah. That big white box is supposed to be a Flickr viewer. I don't see it in IE7 but I do in Firefox. |

The O2 version shown at http://www.theunwired.net/?item=photoview-...onal-smartphone doesn't have the fancy pattern on the back, and it does say "O2 Germany confirmed that there will be no difference to the final design". Strange decision. |

The HTC website says "GPS GPS and A-GPS ready ". Not sure I like the sound of that. Could mean IF you add a Bluetooth GPS receiver. |

Then the Raphael will come out, adding manilla and eGPS to that, plus TV out (I don't know if the X1 has it, i don't think so...) PLUS the additional form factors of the Diamond and Titanium for those who don't like QWERTY, the Diamond also having 4GB of storage. What's the difference between GPS, aGPS and eGPS? Thanks. |

Hmmm. Think I'd rather use Shozu as it auto-uploads to Flickr which is probably more likely to still be around in a few years time. |

My other half's Kaiser will reach full charge in the car, even while running TomTom with regular GPRS traffic checking. If we start the journey with it 2/3rds charged, it will be fuly charged in an hour. This is with the HTC car charger. |

I had all these sort of problems with my Hermes and 3rd party car chargers. Bought the official HTC car charger from Expansys and now it works first time every time. |

Cheers. Just weighing up all the options. We'll probably both end up upgrading to Kaiser variants. |

Anyone know if this can be done? My other half and I both have Hermes variants, and we both push sync with the same mail2web account, meaning we can share our calendars/tasks/notes/email and they are are always in step. If one of us were to move to something like a Nokia N95, could we still do this? Cheers. |

How exactly do they go from 8.65 to 9.5? What's all that about? What happened to 9.0? |

If you look closer on the page there is a link for Opera Mini V4, click on that and it will still tell you your phone type couldn't be found but there should be a link for the High Memory version anyway. Select, download, install, love it! -- lrg Cheers, finally got it installed. Looks pretty good. |

When I try and download it from within PIE it says it's not supported on my phone and sends me to the V3 download page instead. Cheers. |

First thing I would check is if she can successfully send one. I found that in the past sending one has kickstarted everything working. And I use rabdo's cab to set up the orange settings. Fixed it. Someone (?) had changed MMS to use 'Orange Internet' rather than 'Orange MMS' as the connection. So although the MMS settings themselves were correct, it wasn't working. Cheers. |

HI, My other half has received a couple of MMS's from a friend but is unable to view them. They show as 10K with a paper clip attachment icon, but when we do download or send/receive (is this even necessary?) we can't see the message, just the screen with who it's from and the expiry date etc. The MMS settings seem correct, and it definitely used to work. She has had a new SIM recently (the old one died). Might it need reprovisioning at Orange's end? Cheers. |

Checkout the thread in http://kaiser.modaco.com . I now have it working on my Vario II, and it's brilliant. |
