Anyone have ANY suggestions at all for me? I need to check if it's a bad rom or bad hardware. Anyone know of a way I can verify this (with an app maybe)? I'm open to any/all suggestions! |

Thanks Fjatle for your suggestion. Does that cost any money and where did you go? David I'm having the same problem with my SMT5600. I hard-resetted a few times (just in case it didn't properly do it the first couple of times? :S) and i'm having the same problem. Never once did I think that it may ACTUALLY be a hardware issue. I bought the phone used, not realizing that the description noted that no bluetooth hardware installed. When I read up on it quickly after realizing what the description contained (after purchasing, while item was in transit, being shipped here), I noticed that everyone seems to suggest a hard reset and that seems to fix everything. Well, doesn't fix it for me! =/ I suppose these phones are no longer under warranty? Guess I can't send it in to get it repaired for free? Where DID you go to get it done Fjatle? |

I bought a used ("like new") Cingular-branded Audiovox SMT5600 online, not realizing that the description noted "No Bluetooth hardware is installed on this device". When I finally noticed it (after the item had been shipped), it was too late. I got the phone today and Application and SIM Unlocked it right away (succesfully!). I then tried and tried to get the Bluetooth to work, but whenever I select it (or Bluetooth settings), i'm told there is no Bluetooth Hardware installed. I Googled it and all I could find were people suggesting I hard-reset it. I hard-resetted the phone successfully (at least 3 times), but still no Bluetooth. I'm considering flashing the Rom on it (to either AT&T, WM2005, or Rogers rom) but i'm worried I may screw up the phone in the process. Does anyone have any other suggestions on how I may be able to get the Bluetooth to work on this phone which ships from the factory with Bluetooth hardware installed? I'm convinced it's a software issue but maybe i'm wrong? Using Cingular branded phone (and Cingular Rom): Operator: 2.0.42.10 Manufacturer: 2.5.42.40 Microsoft: 4.21.15045.0 Language: 2.5.42.40 Any comments/suggestions would be appreciated! Thanks. |

QUOTE(extravagant @ Jun 2 2005, 05:18) The nokia one indeed tells me if its a forwarded call. Not sure what my phone is called but this is the link http://free-nokia.topnic.com/nokia_3395.gif. Looks the same. Its a bit older too. Too bad the SMT 5600 doesn't say this. Perhaps there is a piece of software? Anyone else? That's what I was hoping - a piece of software. I just bought an MPX-200 as a backup phone and since it has the same Smartphone 2002 OS on it, i'm assuming i'll have the same problem. I figure there should be a software out there that does this. It's extremely important for me =/ Thanks for the replies =) |

QUOTE(extravagant @ May 27 2005, 22:09) No, personally I dont think theres an option. I've also noticed that on my SMT 5600 & Nokia phone. I will keep an eye on this. Thanks - it's sad, but this one option alone might make me have to get another phone. I love my SPV but i'm going to have to look for one which shows me, for business purposes =/ The little things they left out that Nokia remembered to include! Though you said you noticed the same on your Nokia phone? Which Nokia? |

I've looked all over this forum and I can't find the answer anywhere. On all Nokia phones i've ever seen, when you forward a call onto your phone, as you can an incoming call, it says "Forwarded Call" and next to the name/number, it shows a little arrow. I forward calls a lot to my cell and i've noticed that my SPV doesn't show that the incoming call is forwarded. Is this normal? Is there an option that i can turn on somewhere? I've taken my sim out and put it into a Nokia and it shows the arrow, so it's not the network limiting it, it's definately my phone. |

QUOTE(jlowap @ Apr 27 2005, 07:51) There are sites/forums which offer domain name appraisals. You can do a quick google search for "domain name appraisal" to find one. Generally, most domain name values depend on the length of the domain name, the # of hits it receives regularly, etc etc. The experts know best. Lately, if you purchase a domain, you're lucky to get the price of the domain back when/if you decide to sell =P Domain transfers generally cost just the price of one additional year/renewal. No cost for the transfer, but you pay for the domain name for an additional year (the 1 year extension generally occurs at the end of your current payment period). Good luck! |

QUOTE(benzo @ Nov 9 2004, 18:08) I need to find a company that provide decent web hosting packages that includes php, mySQL, phpMyAdmin etc. Any ideas? I know this was posted a long time ago =) But maybe, just maybe you haven't found one yet and are still looking? Or maybe someone else is. I am just starting up a webhosting company with good good prices for all you offered. Sale going on right now... until March 25th =) www.trunkspacehosting.com Unbeatable prices (for the most part, considering some hosts charge very little and oversell and have bad servers which are always down). I live in Canada, so it's not like the SPV is sold here. I got it off Ebay. I don't see Replacement Keypads on there. How much would it be approx? And how hard is that to install myself? Thanks for the reply! |

As stated in the topic, my unlock button on my original SPV only works intermittently. I have to kind of push the whole unit (battery to the front) in hard and then push the unlock button for it to work most of the time.
Anyone else have this issue? Anyone know how to fix it easily (instructions please?)? I'm guessing the contact on the button is just not touching properly. Can I somehow open up the unit and fix it? Or is anyone selling just the casing of an unlocked SPV for really really cheap? Reply or PM me please! Thanks! |

I put my SPV on the cradle and take it off the cradle VERY often. Lately, i've found that it doesn't CLICK into place like it used to. It's very very "weak"... it just slides into the cradle too easily.... feels like it might even kinda fall off. It still syncs fine and all with my PC, but i'm afraid if i keep putting it in the cradle, it may not Sync eventually.
Anyone had this problem/ know what I can do to fix it? Is it a problem with the cradle or, more than likely, a problem with the internal component at the bottom of the SPV? |

I have the same problem - and it's really bugging me. I use my SPV to listen to MP3s at work, with the headset on. When I get a call, it rings LOUD (when i'm listening to MP3s through WMP, it actually takes the MP3 that i'm currently playing and makes THAT sound come out loud through my SPV Speaker for everyone to hear for the first 3 seconds of the call!!!)
Anyone know of this problem / have a fix for it? This just started happening yesterday, and I've had my SPV for a few weeks now. |

Well i'm with Microcell in Canada and that command worked.
The first time i did it, it didn't work.. I think I typed in something wrong. Carefully enter the string with 1(area code)(number) instead of the 1805... I'm sure it'll work... Thanks again! |

Hey,
Thanks for the quick reply. Worked great after some changes to the string (mainly my own voicemail number instead of 805xxxxxxx). Thanks again! |

I have seriously looked this up on the forum and haven't been able to come across an answer.
I just got an ORANGE SPV - I love it! BUT - I hate that I can't seem to choose how long it rings (how many rings) before it goes to Voicemail. Is there an option for that? I store my SPV in a leather case and just getting it out of that thing takes like 1 1/2 rings ... and it rings 3 times and then sends it to voicemail. I know I could just CANCEL the voicemail altogether but I don't wanna do that. I want it to forward after about 5 rings. |
