I am on the verge of setting fire to my e200.
this piece of junk is driving me nuts. when transferring files via usb the connection bombs out and i have to remove the phone from the cradle and re-insert it to re-establish the connection to start the transfer again !! this happens when the damn thing switches from 'charging' to 'charged'. so, i pop the phone in the cradle, start moving over mp3s, it tops up the battery and disconnects in activesync. i can only get it to recognise the phone again by removing the phone from the cradle and re-inserting it. i have to find the corrupt file that was only partially written and delete it... BUT !!! it has started charging to top up the battery from its now 99.9999% full, so in 2 minutes it will disconnect as it reaches 100% AAAAARGH. for the love of christ this is driving me round the poxy bend... |

dont know if it is related, but...
i have a jabra bt200. before the ROM upgrade it worked like a dream. Now, the MIC does not do anything, other end can not hear anything at all, perfect silence, unless the phone is in 'discoverable' mode !! The other thing is, the accept phone call by using the 'pick up' button on the headset no longer accepts the call, i have to press the accept key on the SPV E200, then it transfers to the jabra !! |

i checked that.
it was set to 'never' before i had the Jabra. I set it to either 4 or 6 seconds, and it worked fine. After the update i set it to 6 econds, and nothing happens |

My E200 no longer autoanswers when in headset profile.
before the ROM upgrade my Jabra BT200 would autoanswer after 4 seconds. After the update it will not autoanswer at all !! If I initiate a call on the handset when the Jabra is is switched on, the call is transferred to the Jabra every time. If I hit the 'accept call' button on the Jabra when the handset is ringing, it transfers the call to the Jabra. It just won't autoanswer anyone else have a similar experience since the update, or is my Jabra busted ?? |

i am new to the e200 and was a little awed by just what this phone can do.
i have had no real issues, not suffered any real bugs. setting up bluetooth is a labour of love for some people, myself included... but, with the help of the people here on this forum, and the articles & FAQ's i have become familiar and very happy with my phone. i dont beleive the potential bugs should detract from the wonderful benefits... HTH. |

As the site does not seem to contain any such product when i searched :
Lets look at this with a sensible head.... the only way to influence the battery life with a 'mat' that fits between the battery and the phone is by reducing thermal transfer. if the battery is hot, the electrons are aready in a higher state of excitement, and any current leakage through the device would be higher than with a cold battery. the difference would have to be many many degrees and the difference in batery life would be seconds !! this sounds like feng shui to me, it only works if you REALLY REALLY beleive it does.... :S  better off investing in a second battery... |

well, what a knightmare.
i have finally got my e200 connectected to my laptop via bluetooth W00t w00t !! it does a sync and i can browse the phone !! Fantastic It took a phenominal amount of re-configuring, i have no idea what the pivotal factor was, but i spent hours pouring over every guide & how-to i could lay my hads on but now the oddities start .. :? My laptop connects to my lan via a bluetooth pcmcia card that is bonded with a bluetooth bridging point. ( like a bluetooth ethernet card ). the bluetooth bridge is connected to a lan port on my broadband router. i can make a connection from the pcmcia card to the bridge and browse. or i can connect my e200 to my laptops pcmcia card. i can not do both though !! ah well, i will have to make do with one or the other.. but it does mean i can not browse the internet while the phone is connected, and naturally, cannot browse from the phone at all via bluetooth. things are not ment to be this complicated, i have been a good boy, honest  |

many ISP's do not provide uidl's
a unique identifier is generated by the MTA ( mail server ) when the email arrives on it. It normally consists of a random number plus the time of arrival plus the servers name. these are a requirement of RFC 1939 QUOTE In order to simplify parsing, all POP3 servers are required to
use a certain format for unique-id listings. A unique-id listing consists of the message-number of the message, followed by a single space and the unique-id of the message. No information follows the unique-id in the unique-id listing. The unique-id of a message is an arbitrary server-determined string, consisting of one to 70 characters in the range 0x21 to 0x7E, which uniquely identifies a message within a maildrop and which persists across sessions. This persistence is required even if a session ends without entering the UPDATE state. The server should never reuse an unique-id in a given maildrop, for as long as the entity using the unique-id exists. The problem is, it is NOT implemented by many ISP's Most email clients ( outlook express etc ) create a pseudo uidl file locally (i.e. outlook express creates pop3uidl.dbx) to work around this. I am not aware of any PDA's or the like, that use this workaround there are only 2 fixes. 1). Your ISP implements this functionality... 2). The developer of the email client you are using hack (proper use of the term, dont get excited..) a workaround. |
