Now that M$FT have said that Win Mob 7 is delayed until late 2009, doesn't look like the Touch HD will have Win Mob 7 :-( |

- No DPAD at all? Scroll wheel? Well the screen is so smooth to scroll on, I don't think there's a need for DPAD. or scroll wheels It does come with a stylus - MicroSD slot? Yes it does come with MicroSD slot. - How big is the battery (mAh)? 1350mAH battery. I think they could have done a little better with the battery though. - Other hardware buttons on the side? Only volume button on the left side and 3.5mm headset jack on the top. - You like? Damn! I'm loving this baby. Will post more pics later on Holly carp! Got the Diamon and Touch Pro beat..hands down! Looks like I'll have to start to save my pocket money now! |

If it ends up also having GPS, then my Diamond will be getting the "hand-down" treatment!!! |

Edit: I just checked and I don't actually get to see any of the news in the submit news area, so sorry about that. Mods and submitters only. No problem...I'll just have to remember that Submit News isn't really 'active', or stop submitting until the service is more complete. |

Called windows mobile portal, it provides a nice little interface to see all the programs, and gives all sorts of information like promotional videos, links to external websites etc. I don't see any version that will run on the device itself just yet, however if this is going to be a serious answer to what apple is doing, Microsoft will have to abandon the half hearted approach to reacting what the opposition are doing. We can only hope! Anyway, take a look at the site here Cheers Phill [Via: 1800pocketpc.com] I posted this to the MoDaCo "Submit News" on the 16th! Has no-one had a look at the "Submit News" for a while!? |

Another question then: Who out there can claim the LONGEST battery life? I can with light use get from Friday @ 17:00 until Monday @ 09:00 on one charge and still have 1 bar left from the 900mAh battery. That is, email sync every 30 mins on peak times and manual (when I'm asleep) off peak, loads of text's, 1/2 hour web browsing on HSDPA, and <1 hour of phone calls. I've also done some registry tweaks (all documented here of XDA Forum) and am sensible is switching off the screen when not in use (quick tap of the power button). If I do a lot more activity such as web for a couple hours or more phone calls, it does die on the Sunday. |

Given that there is a delay due to bugs and flaws, how does this affect users with Opera 9.5 installed already (I.e. The HTC Touch Diamond)? Any know if this is making our browser vulnerable? I feel much safer using email and the Web on my mobile (as there is a much lower chance of getting into trouble), but then they say something like this...I might have to go back to using PIE! |

3+ days (not really tried to run it out), just this weekend. Last charged it on Friday 17:00, still had 40% charge on monday 09:00 morning! didn't use it much over the weekend though. A few calls, SMS, Web Browsing, Soduku/Solitaire, etc. I don't have Push email set-up, to improve battery I have it on a 30min schedule. More than enough for me (don't want it to be link a crack-berry!!! :-\) Should point out that I have also done loads of registry tweaks/hacks, etc. And am a good boy and lock and turn the back-light off when not in use. |

hi all, just curious how much battery life your all getting from your diamond, at the moment mine is only lasting 18 hours or so. Im hoping this will improve after the battery has had a few more charges. any tips on improving battery life? i have the phone forced to GSM when i dont need the data connection and have enabled all the power saving features in advanced config. i went to burghley house yesterday, so had about an hour of tomtom, about 80 pics, 30 mins of calls and a few texts. By late evening the phone was giving me the low batt warning. I'm looking for a basic GPS compass for my TyTN II. Nothing fancy; just needs to show direction while walking. Thanks in advance. -Bob- Try this: http://www.cjcraft.com/blog/2008/06/04/30D...GPSCompass.aspx This guy did 30 days of .NET Development for Windows Mobile, with a new application every day and gives us the code. As a result he put together a GPS compass. Enjoy! |

My Diamond came with one, did nobody else's? It covers the whole of the top section of the phone with cutouts for the speaker and front cam. P Mine did too. It's OK, but does make the device a little less responsive and it shows up my greasy fingers too :-) Only real issue I have is that the 'glue' on the sides of the screen protector does pick up some light fluff! |

Anyone connected via HSUPA yet? Does anyone know if we need to enable anything, get T-Mobile to do something to our account, etc? Found it myself. In registry go to: HKLM\Software\HTC\AdvancedNetwork and change the key "SupportHSUPA" from 0 to 1. Then go to Settings > Connections > Advanced network. You will see that this has changed from a simple tick box, to a full drop down. In the drop down, set to "Enable HSDPA/HSUPA". Havent actually connected to any HSUPA yet here in Birmingham UK, but here is hoping that others will! |
