Just got a Vox sent through today to go with my Touch....

Was just wondering if anybody knows of a way I can use the vox's slideout keyboard to type on the Touch? (via bluetooth...)

Cheers.

Sorry, it was not produced with landscape screens in mind...

A few modifications could be made to it to make it landscape compatibile though...

Hi all,
I've recently got myself a qtek 8500 and ditched my mpx220!

However, I've ran into a lot of both trying to configure MMS and GPRS to work on it properly...

These are the settings I've got so far..

For the NET/GPRS
Settings > Connections > GPRS > Vodafone

Connects To: The Internet
Access Point: internet
Username: web
Password: web
Primary DNS: 0.0.0.0
Secondary DNS: 0.0.0.0
IP Address: 212.183.137.012

That all seems to work fine... the tricky part is the actual MMS settings...
Here's what I've got so far..

Settings > Connections > GPRS > Vodafone MMS

Connects To: Secure Wap Network
Access Point: wap.vodafone.co.uk
Username: wap
Password: wap
Primary DNS: 0.0.0.0
Secondary DNS: 0.0.0.0
IP Address: 212.183.137.012

And Messaging > MMS > Options > Account Options > MMS > MMSC Settings > Vodafone MMS
MMSC URL: http://mms.vodafone.co.uk/servlets/mms
WAP Gateway: 212.183.137.12
Port: 9201
Connect Via: Secure Wap Network
Max Sending Size: 100k
Wap Version: 1.2

Has anybody managed to get MMS working correctly on vodafone uk contract on this phone?

Appreciate any responses!

I might be being incredibly stupid here, but is there any way to change the volume on the mpx220 when the phone is closed?

On the 200 i used to be able to alter the volume in my pocket, on the 220 it seems i have 2 open it up and then change the volume. (using the buttons on the side)

Anyone else noticed this? :S

Hi all,
Im currently using an mpx200 and I've been ready for an upgrade since christmas now and was hoping orange would release the mpx220 although the chances of that are becomming less and less likely.

Anyway, I'm looking to buy a Sim Free mpx220 (from either Expansys or MobileFun) and im wondering if any UK orange users (With the mpx220) can give me information about how the phone performs on the network?

Are there any noticable bugs? Do the majority of orange network features work etc...

Thanks all!!

it annoys me how none of the smartphone manufacturers can get anything right.

I'm sure its not THAT difficult to pop on modaco and see the issues people are having with them and what they wanted, ie. multi-press keys, diagonals that WORK, no dust in ur screen etc.. - why is it that all smartphone manufacturers develop with their head in the sand, and dont even seem to bother testing handsets.

Must admit, I have had many a phone over the last few years and I must say that the C500 is easily one of the best handsets that I have ever owned.  Its just an all round great phone, only weak point being the joystick.  But to be fair I have got quite used to it now smile.gif
And the GAPI gaming issue? is that a problem?

Not currently no, this was just a quick homescreen i made for myself when I first got my phone.

I might decide to do a little more work on it soon and skin some extra screens, give users ability to use plugins etc...

I've seen it advertised in Carphone Warehouses Coming Soon section, but i expect that just to be Sim free..

I've also seen a number of sites saying 02 and Voda will be carrying it, so hopefully its true, maybe orange will surprise us all thou and actually release it smile.gif - I hope its not gonna share the same fate as the MPX100 and get cut alltogether....

Besides, software problems never stopped them carrying any other phones before (oringal SPV, even the c500 has its GAPI issue which orange were aware of when it was released, (let alone the hardware, keypress issues)). I think it is because orange want to shift as many c500s as possible, and know the mpx220 will completely kill the c500s sales...

if any of the other networks decide to carry this phone (they'd be stupid not too if orange are pulling out), then im definately moving from orange to them.

great.. just great... now i've gotta have a crappy 'Can't play games on me' c500 complete with dust under the screen and no multi-press... :x

cheers orange, great job you guys are doing.

I guess this means ill be putting a stop to my £75 a month contract that I've had with them for 3 years now.

Anyone wanna join me in emailing orange to tell them how good a decision this is? (<sarcasm )

Originally Duke (v1.3) had 3 episodes then, 3d Realms released a new version the Plutonium Pak / Atomic Edition, also known as Duke 3d 1.4/5 which contained a new episode.

Works well for me, Battle.rot isn't contained in the shareware distribution though - it creates itself when you run the game for the first time!

Keep up the good work
